Maybe no other coach wanted to come here? We probably wouldn't have been able to attract a name you would want because we are so far removed from a winning culture. Making a hire that was worse than what we had (Miller for Crean) is what killed any momentum the good Crean years got us. In addition to a nice win, it is refreshing to see the positivity amongst the players and the coaches in the locker room. Seems like that element of having fun has been missing for some time. I agree! But to go along with that, when we start winning these B10 games we will get more respect in polls and/or bracketology analysis. Winning cures all. Protect our home court and win all our home games and then split the road games....we will be in the dance for the first time in a long time, and maybe even with a decent seed. I am excited for every game after watching this tonight! We are going to lose more games and let's see how mediocre Syracuse is later this season...I'm sure they gained some confidence of their own tonight. I loved to see us fight through some adversity, even if it was self inflicted 25 times. We have been asking for a team that doesn't lay down and quit. We have been asking for a coach to make halftime adjustments. We have been asking for tremendous energy from our players. Crean and Archie also might have worked out if they had the ability to adapt their systems to their personnel. I have more confidence that Woodson would be willing and able to adapt to the teams strengths next year. He was....in previous years we stop feeding the post or we take the hot hand out of the game. That's probably why we haven't had a 40+ individual effort in over 25 years.
