  1. Any chatter on a preliminary consensus as to whether this is a good move or a lateral move? I know nothing of Warren. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  2. How I wish I was an IU alumni..... Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  3. I'll ask you to stop putting words in my mouth as your first instinct. Until you can do that, your opinion matters none to me. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  4. Depends on the reason they're crying. Or (in most cases) moping. Or whatever you want to call the 'woe is me' outlook around here. Opinions most certainly can come across in a whining fashion. My opinion (a grumpy one, evidently): Too many people can't handle the long play. Also my opinion: Yes, this season had better show some promise. Let's just see what happens. More has been done with less, and less has been done with more. I'm not normally so forward and snarky, sorry. (But I'm not entirely sorry.) Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  5. It's been said in here before that Holtmann was on record as all but saying the Indiana job was too big for him. If true? Good. Go coach at a pretend basketball school one state over. Who knows. Maybe Indiana inquired to Mack and he either said, "Thanks, but no thanks" or wasn't interested in a change at the time. While either would have been a good hire theoretically, neither was a fit. Moving on: No. Indiana is not the only program with good things not happening. There are also not bad things happening. It doesn't matter how hard "we" cry, no one will cry with us. So let's stop crying. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  6. Kerry Blackshear withdraws from the draft and will explore grad transfer options. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  7. Is he supposed to lie and claim it an advantage? Chill on the accusations. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  8. Big week and a positive week as well. However, I don't expect commitments anywhere near the timing of visits. These are kids wth rising stocks and I just think they'll take at least the summer to test the offers. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  9. The staff is aiming where they think they should be aiming in order to get results on the court, which we haven't yet gotten. If you keep trying to land your wishlist recruits and ONLY them without proof of results on the court, that's a recipe for failure. Recruiting gets better if the team success is consistent (or you roll in the mud with the pigs). Given our current status, it's not wise to recruit a narrow spectrum. The additional recruits aren't slouches. If this were Crean we're throwing a 2019 scholarship at the closest Tim Priller doppelganger we can find. This kid is a 2020 top 100. Obviously Miller sees something he likes. You offer that. Right now, WE are unpredictable to recruits, so they will remain unpredictable to us. Never count on anyone to accept an offer. 11. *(Sorry in advance for TMI)* I have more balls than them and I lost one at age 21. Thank God I was born with three...
  12. Helps explain whatever that was this season I suppose. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  13. I'm just thinking about the number of metaphorical aneurysms that will go down on this board if they hired Billy Donovan or Gregg Marshall [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  14. It'll be interesting to see if Wilson and Bajema want out of their committment to Michigan. Without looking though, I don't remember who else recruited them. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  15. And that makes sense. Surely was frustrated with the climate of college basketball. May as well try it at the highest level. I hope he does well. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  16. I just don't get this move. Unless it's purely a money jump like Lamar said. Oy, that's just brutal. That's a loss for college basketball. But maybe he wanted out because he was tired of the horribly uneven playing ground. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  17. Big Woj bomb.... Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  18. If anything like last year, a failure to meet expectation. And it will be a big one with the roster he has. Even bigger with the one he could potentially have when all said and done. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  19. 6'5" Arkamsas-Little Rock grad transfer Rayjon Tucker to Memphis. Was also considering Auburn, WV, and Iowa State. Auburn initially was thought to be the leader. Averages of 20 pts, 7 reb, 1 stl per game last season. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  20. Good thing you're not doing the recruiting then [emoji6] Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  21. On to the next one, folks. Maybe a nice one to have skill-wise, but definitely not a back-breaker to lose. He'll be fine with his best buddy Penny. And we'll be fine with our group of young men with a bad taste in their mouths and something to prove.
  22. As one Michael Scott once stated: Boom Roasted.
  23. He's gambling on the guys he has because he's not a chicken s***. Misses or not, it's still refreshing to know we will no longer be competing with Incarnate Word to complete our roster. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  24. Maybe I’m missing something because I'm awake later than I should be, but why would he have been on campus recently? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  25. I read your comments (and many others' lately) in this voice. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
