Rob has to have the lion’s share of the PG duties. Has to. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

Slightly OT, but maybe I should put a little DraftKings money on Maryland that way if we lose I’ll have a consolation prize. And if we win, even better [emoji28] Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

As much as I hate to say it, I feel the same. I’ll e honest in that I haven’t watched any of Maryland this season so my keenness on matchups is nil. But purely by standards Al should not be getting the start. And Rob IS our point guard and should be starting this game instead of Al. If Al hadn’t lost his composure last game and warranted some repercussions this game, I’d say put Rob in Devonte’s place instead. I just hope in-game deficiencies early and addressed appropriately from the sideline. Unless he comes in and is just terrible, Rob had better log more time than at least one of them. (2021) G Luke Brown to Ball State

Ok. I made it to the 6:27 mark in the first and took a break. If the announcer says ‘Barr-Reeves’ one more time I’m going to lose my mind. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

Did you just meld Krampus with ‘I love you to the moon and back’? That’s issues, bro. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

I do think they challenged and overall defended the three point line better than most of us expected them to. I attribute that to part of ND’s cold shooting. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

That’s what I’m saying in regards to your last sentence. Maybe I’m not delivering it very clearly. I’ve been home all day with 3 insane children, so I hardly even know my name at this point. I feel like if we could just get TJD to stay another year and our guards really continue to grow with experience we’ll see a much welcomed improvement in our offensive consistency and, subsequently, efficiency. Al, Armaan, Jerome, and still yet Rob have to tighten it up next year. Al is the only one who isn’t a rookie or hasn’t missed significant time so I remain hopeful. In essence, you’re saying he told them to stop going inside during those timeouts. Or maybe he told them to keep playing from outside. Even though he had them playing our strengths for the entire first half and then some. No. We had a lead, and the offense did what it does every game: falls asleep. ND was able to capitalize, and their 3 ball came back a little bit. We had senseless turnovers (eg Rob at half court). We know the mentality of this team, and that is to tighten up, play scared, and not play within the game. To let the opposition dictate what they do. If you can’t see that the players are the ones out there responsible for carrying out a game plan, I don’t know what to tell you, Jaybob. But I know you know that. It’s easier to blame a coach, and it’s natural to look for immediate blame in times of frustration. I get that. I like you, but here I disagree with placing a large majority of the blame on Miller. I didn’t hear anything. Neither did you. Or anyone else. He obviously kept them within the effective game plan for a long stretch. I don’t think he told them to stop. It goes back to guard play. When they stop responding/thinking, the game plan is no longer effective if they don’t feed the post. Archie is not faultless. Example: Brunck and TJD didn’t spend enough time on the floor together in the second half, amongst other things. But I’m exhausted by him receiving what is presented as 100% of the blame. It’s a cold day in Hades the day I root for Purdoo. They are the worst. They will always be the worst. Maybe with some personnel changes I MIGHT pull for them in a head to head against pUKe, but not currently. In fact I’d enjoy it if they had the opportunity to stomp Purdoo right now. I’ll really enjoy it if Butler takes them down. You won’t see me any more angry than you will if we don’t beat those turds this year. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

IUBB vs UConn Game Thread 12/10 @ 9:00 pm ESPN
HinnyHoosier replied to Stuhoo's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
It's a win in the GARDEN in DECEMBER. Traditionally there is ugly basketball in December, and not just from our beloved Hoosiers. I mean, we could be Maryland having lost to PSU right now. Back up and take the win. Young players learn more from this type of win than the game where you come out red hot. They had to overcome their opponent AND themselves. They took punches but learned to counter punch (unlike Saturday). And doing it in UCONN's back yard, no less. It's ok to acknowledge progress even if it's far from perfect. Yes, the players need to shoot better, think smarter, and overall just execute better. Yes, the coaching staff needs to manage personnel better. It's going to come. We're just to the meat of the schedule, so they're all readjusting. There's plenty of rational things to say, but as long as we aren't winning by 20 the boo birds will have something to hang their hats on. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

That is a fact. We’ve pinpointed that. But a fact, while a true and proven statement, is just that. Without context its meaning is limited. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
