  1. Wow. And it saved my parlay, lol. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  2. "Archie did it!!" --Joe
  3. ....No, it didn’t. Our shooting did, just like you began to say in regards to our boring offense. You just got sidetracked in your haste to storm the castle. Our defense didn’t make us shoot 4/36 from outside the blocks. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  4. Can we make an ‘Overly Obsessive About All Things Administration Thread’? Or how about ‘OMGGGGGG ADMINISTRATIONNNNN!!!!’ thread? ‘Things That Trigger Gradman: Administration’ thread? Edit: Sorry. I forgot drop ceilings. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  5. Oh ok. Because it sounded like the solution was real easy at first. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  6. Good Lord man, he’s leaving. Done. Gone real soon. Do you need to set his house on fire as your appropriate send off? Get over it, Grumpman. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  7. So... if he gets two shooters, he can stay? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  8. You can take the APR repercussions when your administration lets you. If I had my guess, he would have gotten the finger wag on that. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  9. 50 votes in the AP. Not ‘ranked’ which is fine by me. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  10. I hate Purdoo. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  11. The Knight family is pulling the strings, that’s fairly clear. But to what end, not so much. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  12. Maybe a partially toxic locker room plays into that. Not wholly, of course. Rob has to be willing to help himself, too. But a player coming off injuries sure doesn’t gain extra confidence in shaking off the rust from the type of culture that still seems to infect this team. 13. Seems like the Davis theory is making itself more and more visible. And since he and Devonte are besties... Man. Early on I really didn’t think Deron was that type of personality. And boy did we want him to overcome the injury bug. Unfortunately, however, it seems he got over it just to come down with a case of Devonte Green-itis. If that’s how they’re going to conduct themselves they can go ahead and kick rocks yesterday. Team cancers need cut out. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  14. That actually happened (SARCASM). But really, Deron has been a ghost. Totally disinterested from day one. He sure plays the part of a guy upset with competition. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  15. Didn't someone mention early in the year (off season) that Davis was not thrilled about having both TJD and Brunck brought on board? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  16. 1) Get Knight back home. 2) Get the statue built as soon as he accepts it. 3) Play some freaking basketball and break the curse. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  17. “Psst. Arch. *Elbows him in the ribs* One way you can get those open shots is by POUNDING THE BALL DOWN LOW TO YOUR STUD BIG.” Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  18. Omg. Tom Crean’s Georgia beat #9 Memphis today. The wheels really are coming off. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  19. I’d call them selfish douchebags. But that’s just me. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  20. UNC getting taken to the wood shed early... Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  21. Conversely, firing after year three at least sends a message that we are semi-serious about wanting results. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  22. If you’re hiring people who don’t understand why a program with standards reasonably moved on from it’s unsuccessful coach after three full years, those aren’t the people you want running your program. If someone feels they need 5+ years to have any progress, there’s a reason for that, whether it be poor track records, lack of self confidence, or both. I'm sure Calipari knew he could be chopped at the drop of a hat like Gillespie was (although he made it very easy for them to fire him). Top coaches aren’t afraid to go after a high profile, high paying job. We’re still high profile, now only because we’re an ex-blue blood seething with desperation. 23. Penn State winning games against ranked teams in America’s toughest conference. And here we are. Vomit. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  24. I’m never quick to jump on the ‘fire him yesterday’ bandwagon, but here I am. There is no upward trajectory ANYWHERE. Coaching? No. Recruiting? No. (Consistent, yes I suppose. But not an upward trend to baiting big fish). Player development? No. Shooting? No. WINNING? NO. There is nothing game-changing in the wings to convince me otherwise at this point. Each game feels hopeless. We know the shots aren’t going in. We know the possession likely goes to under 5 on the shot clock with a bad shot after passing up two open ones. We know a post feed has about a 10% chance of occurring. We know exactly what’s going to happen. Archie doesn’t seem to. I like him. But he and the job aren’t compatible right now. 25. Good Lord. What did Indiana University ever do to the basketball deities? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
