  1. It’s almost funny, and only a half, but Bank's goes to Tulane and hits 4-6 from three in his first game and Goode (a 39% career three point shooter) looks like a lost freshman. The three point curse of the Hall.
  2. I didn’t know if there was a “magic number” such as beat a low ranked team by 20 or some other target number. Didn’t know if winning by 35 was really more meaningful than 30 etc. Based on your response I guess it’s just run up the score as much as possible.
  3. I don’t know…What is the number of points we should win by in order to help our net ranking ?
  4. So far, and it’s really really early, the word that comes to mind is underwhelming.
  5. IU - 38 UM- 7 We are not afraid of stinking wings on a helmet
  6. Quite an offer list for the kid.
  7. The thing that surprised me is that they showed us with an 86% chance of making the playoff even if we lose to OSU. If we lose to UM our chances drop to 27%. Take care of business Saturday and we are looking good.
  8. I realize it’s apples vs oranges but UM’s season tickets started at $660 and most seating zones have an extra mandatory roughly $800 “donation” (1,400-1,500 all-in). MSU was $343 for 7 home games (ironically, or maybe not, the exact same as IU’s 7 games next year) OSU, depending on seating zone, ranged from $623-1,397 plus a mandatory donation. The $1,397 zone seats required an extra $1,500 donation. (Ie nearly 3k all-in). The revenue they earn, in a 110,000 seat stadium, is insane.
  9. Playoff berth over a “regular” bowl every day. Playoff berth gives you a chance to win a Natty. For recruiting making the playoff has much more impact than making a bowl. The entire football world will be watching the playoff games. The entire final top 10 teams will probably all be playoff teams. Half the “stars” no longer play in the “regular”bowls. A big chunk of the “regular” bowl audience are just people tied into those 2 schools. How many people would care about IU vs South Carolina in a “regular” bowl compared to IU vs Texas in the playoff? Not even close.
  10. CBS sports also still has us out of the playoff (weak schedule was mentioned) Joel Klatt at Fox Sports raves about IU but has us as the first team out of the playoffs. Bleacher Report has us slipping in at 12 playing at Texas. Sporting News has us 9th at Tennessee. Colllege Football Network has us 6th!!!! Hosting Tennessee (which I would love). We just need to keep winning while others slip up. Might not get in at 11-1 and will need to win at OSU.
  11. I don’t think he will leave because we won’t offer him enough money but am worried he might be tempted by a traditional power/80k+ stadium/football school/get in playoff with 2 losses/unlimited NIL type of place. Hope we don’t lose him.
  12. Never thought I, or anyone, would live long enough to see that.
  13. Cig could lose his next 9 in a row and still have the best record since every one of our coaches since the 1940’s. EDIT: sadly, that’s a fact, not a joke.
  14. TJ needs the reps and at a certain point why risk Rourke.
  15. On the sideline it looked like the MSU backup QB is praying that IU goes on a 19 minute drive to end the game.
  16. So in the prediction league I picked IU to win a Big Ten Game….On the ROAD….by 3 touchdowns…but there is a very good chance that prediction makes me a pessimist. I feel like I’m living in an alternative reality.
  17. I love our tradition of successfully making in-game adjustments. Its a tradition that goes all the way back to 2024.
  18. Need a couple back shoulder passes against their DB’s
  19. We uncharacteristically dropped a pass. They barely escaped a couple of sacks and made a couple of really great catches. Not scared yet….
  20. I assume we are hoping OSU beats PSU. Correct?
  21. So…I assume we are hoping OSU beats PSU. Correct?
  22. That’s where you are, not the majority of fans. I’m still tight with a good sized group of guys I went to IU with, back in the early RMK days, and 100% of us would be thrilled with a natty and 0% of us would even think about , unless we read this thread (LOL), what he said.
  23. Goode’s 3 year percentage from the three at Illinois was 39%. I hope/trust he will be fine. Agree that 10 to’s was good to see. Even better considering that Dallas, who will almost never play, accounted for 3 of them in only six minutes of play. Rest of the team only had 7 to’s.
