If I met them in a bar I’d love to buy Booger a cocktail and “accidentally” dump a drink in Galloways lap.

Galloway disses us. Big time. The thing that absolutely BLOWS is that ESPN keeps referencing our 106th SOS, according to their metrics, while virtually every other ranking sites have our SOS at 55-62 or so. Just total BS. A bit scary that BYU dropped 8. We absolutely can’t get blown out.

You are correct about Graham and Grant (ELITE) but on the other hand, in the PFF NFL draft rankings, OSU has NINE of the top 70 prospects. NINE guys slated to go in the first two rounds. Crazy talent/depth.

That’s why it’s sort of funny that fans get so bent out of shape by an OOC game. Wiscy beats Arizona by 15 but then barely slips by Texas-Rio Grand Valley. I mean WTF. A couple of OOC games that really led people down the wrong path was when IU beat both UNC and Kansas in the 2016-2017 season and KU ended up in the Elite 8, UNC won the Natty but IU didn’t even make the tourney. Just crazy.

Agreed. All 4 participants in the BT and SEC championship games will either get a bye or host a game. I’d be very surpassed if any of the 4 drop to 9th.

(2025) QB - Julian Lewis to Colorado (for now)
DChoosier replied to Hovadipo's topic in Indiana Football Recruiting Forum
Lewis is a Georgia native so it wouldn’t be surprising if he ends up there, At this point I don’t give a sh!te if he goes to GA, CO, USC, Walmart or Costco. Just pick a place. -
I’ve picked IU to win every game this season but not sure who I will pick for this weekend. In Cig I trust but after the Michigan game a few things give me pause: Our OL didn’t handle UM’s DL and I can see us having the same issues vs OSU. Acknowledge that we had to sub in a guy on Thursday, so he only worked with the starters for a day, but OSU really has some studs on the DL as did UM. In the second half of the UM game Rourke looked kind of rattled. If that happens at OSU we will have issues. Can we run vs OSU? Protect Rourke? I seem to be in the minority but think the crowd will have an impact. Very important for us to get off to a quick start.

I also liked their breakdown. Jarod Morris wasn’t on this particular episode but Coach Tonsoni and another coach were. Although they both liked the 8 man rotation I would like to go to 9 with Cupps getting 5-7minutes, when he is healthy and if appropriate based on the game situation, as I would like to see him remain “game ready” in case Rice gets banged up. 3 guards getting playing time seems a little light. -

Today, after my post you are referencing, I listened to the two coaches that hosted the post-game Assembly Cal podcast referenced by Stuhoo. Up to the listeners of the podcast to agree or disagree with them but a few things they stated. - For the most part we didn’t run much Princeton offense this game. - One of them mentioned an analytical service (I didn’t catch the name) that provided numbers showing we went through the post 1/2 as often as a typical game the last few years even though we started the game by going to the post in the first two possessions. - At the end of the first half we were up 11 but our bigs, MR and Ballo, only had one bucket apiece and both of those buckets were off offensive rebounds (ie. we would have been getting smoked if we had repeatedly gone through the post without any offensive, non-rebound, buckets from our two bigs) - They thought we cut much more than previous years but that many of our first half cuts were lazy. -Felt that Rice controlled the pace of the game. Both of them are really high on him. -Thought our defensive ball pressure was outstanding/disruptive. -They were also very high on Tucker (compared him to athletes you watch from other conferences on ESPN) and thought Goode had a good game in spite of going 0-3 from the three. -Repeatedly mentioned how our guards are different than past years. One instance mentioned was at the end of the first half when SC packed the lane assuming we would force the ball to the post for our last shot, as we have in past years, but Rice read the defense and instead of forcing it inside, which we have all seen a million times, he rose up and nailed a three. -They liked that a number of our big man touches were when they were on the move as opposed to receiving the ball with their backs to the basket as in the past. - mentioned we were favored by 7.5 but analytics (I don’t know where they pulled those from) only had us favored by 6. -mentioned how much better MM is going to the rim. I had mentioned during the game that he doesn’t look nearly as stiff/tentative as he did last year. - they are fans of the 8 man rotation - we gave up too many offensive boards. -mentioned the overall TO number was good but that 3 of them were in the first half but we had a poor 8 TO’s in the second. They had a lot of observations I found interesting and will listen to them after the Bahama games. -
That scenario would give the BT and SEC a total of 8 slots. The SEC will only be truly happy if they get 6 of those slots.

I’ve been going back and forth between two games but from what I have seen…..Wisconsins pass offense really sucks.
-
Wiscy got hosed on a huge BS chop block call. Rather than a first down, and continuation of a drive, they had to punt from their end zone giving Oregon great field position. Total screw job but Wiscy held them to a FG. 16-13 with 2:30 to go with Oregon getting ready to kick-off to the Badgers.

If (IF) we play Louisville, Gonzaga and Arizona in the Bahamas we will learn a bit. Really need to beat the Ville to stay in the winners bracket as I agree that the rest of the ooc schedule is rather sub-optimal (polite way of saying it’s sh!te). -
Wiscy beating Oregon at the half. The playoff is going to be insane as I don’t think there is a clearly dominate team. Going to be fun….as long as we are in it. LOL

Add in Carlye’s 12 points while Ballo (you know, the 5 that we run everything through) took a total of TWO shots. There is plenty to critique but thinking this is the same offense that continuously pounded the ball to TJD, while wings stood like statues watching him either operate within 2 feet of the basket or make a pass out of the post, is almost funny. -
As I watch TN beating GA 10-0 (albeit, it’s early)……If TN has an impressive win GA is probably out but does TN jump idle IU ?

We clearly don’t play through the post to the extent we have the past few years (and certainly not “everything” through the post). -

Is this sarcastic, or a joke, or are you already sincerely calling a career 40% three point shooter a bust after taking 7 shots? -
They have had a tough schedule but TN is their 5th game against a ranked team and if they lose to them they will be 2-3 against those teams. On the other hand those two wins were Bama and Texas but still…2-3 ? They should win their next two as they finish with UMASS (what a joke that the SEC does that during conference season) and GA Tech.
-
I’m for TN, but feel GA will win, because I think that will keep Georgia out of the playoffs. Any additional comments from playoffologists that have a good handle on the playoff situation?

Before I get jumped on….yes I know we sucked last year. That being said, and agreed upon, we did win by 16 today. Last year we only won one out of conference game by that amount (North Alabama by 17). From a metric standpoint I would guess we are off to a better start (as we should be). -
