West coast teams going east should get 3:30 or later games EST teams going west should get 3:30 or earlier games. It shouldn’t be that difficult for the BT (or their TV bosses) to figure that out.

Agree to disagree. We didn’t get Oregon or Penn State. 5 Big Ten home games. We got what we thought might be “toss up” games like Maryland, Nebraska and Washington (lost their coach and half their team) at home while going to Northwestern and UCLA. Many thought UM would be down (albeit not to this extent) and we got them at home. Compared to the many years in which we started against OSU, at Iowa etc this was a gift.

Raise your hand if pre-season you predicted that after 7 games Cig would have IU ranked higher than DeBoer’s Bama team. Virtually unbelievable.

That’s a little bit better than the pre-season BT conference (conference, not national) predictions of 17th or 18th !!!!!

I get your point about teams having a bye week but, rather than the Big Ten “sticking it” to IU with scheduling, I think they gave us a 1 in a million dream schedule. And we “deserve” this schedule after years in the East. There are 4 other BT teams in the top 25. We only play one of them. Our home and away schedule was almost perfectly put together. I’d take something similar every year in a heartbeat.

We might (MIGHT) get the nod if Bama ends up 7-5.

We are very lucky to have a backup that was capable enough to lead the team to 28 second half points. It was GREAT to see that the staff trusts Jackson enough to have him come out passing rather than having him just hand-off the ball to protect the lead. That being said if the Washington game gets really tight we will miss KR’s experience, the fact that he is seemingly unflappable and his near-perfect decision making. Not a shot at TJ but just an acknowledgment that KR is extremely experienced/skilled.

After yesterday the ESPN model has IU with a 63% chance to make the playoffs!!

Hopefully Saturday’s atmosphere/beatdown will flip the Indy kids, and others, to IU. Would be nice to see someone like Burrus flip this week.

I could be wrong, and will look it up, but I’m pretty sure Tuttle was the IU QB when we won the Holiday Bowl in ‘79.

The manner in which this season/Cig has changed my mindset is unreal. I’m watching Bama/TN and GA/Texas and when seeing 5 star WR’s drop balls my first thought is that the IU receivers would have caught those passes.

IU possibly has 3 QB’s better than the starting QB at UM. Weird world.

Watching UM at Illinois. I think we are going to absolutely pound UM. The only issue is that at that point beating UM won’t be considered to be a big deal.

Saban said we wouldn’t be able to handle the Nebraska defense. To be fair they did hold us to 56 points…….

OK, I’ll say it (and I haven’t been drinking). Many say we can go 11-1 but EVERYONE is positive we have no chance at the shoe. I’m starting to think we have a 20-33% chance shot (if CR is healthy) at OSU.

I agree. When asked about CR Cig did not sound as optimistic (ie he will be fine next week etc) as I had hoped. We shall see.

I usually don’t spend time on other teams sites but was curious what Husker fans were saying. One poster made me LOL by saying that on the sideline Cig looks like a “psychotic dentist”

A funny Nebraska post: ”If they score 105 on us will the scoreboard show us winning 7-5”.

Some Nebraska posters are making comments along the lines of “Cig is going to do well in the SEC next year” Not that he needed it but this has been a 5+ hour commercial for Cig.

Normally I would agree with you but today I’d give TJ as many snaps as possible in case CR can’t go next week.

There is ZERO chance Cig would call off the dogs in the middle of the 3rd quarter. I have no doubt he would like to put up 50+. I really hope CR’s injury isn’t serious. Just had to be his throwing hand, didn’t it.

I realize this isn’t “ vintage Nebraska” but the IU OL is dominating the NB DL. Let that sink in.
