As someone else mentioned Alford sat out for the UK game. Knight actually had some flexibility as to which game Alford sat and intentionally chose the UK game as he the knew they were huge cheaters. There is no way Addidas paid guys 100k unless they had competition (Nike). The FBI might not have legal evidence/recourse against the Nike schools but the NCAA is sure to hear a lot of "we offered 50k but had to go to 100k because Nike offered 75k etc). I think we are only at the tip of the iceberg.

I sort of agreed with you when I saw it "live" but in the replay it was clear he led with his helmet and you could see the UVA players head snap back when there was helmet to helmet contact. He could have easily initiated contact onto the players lower shoulders, back, arms, waist or legs and I doubt there would have been a call even if he led with his head. These days the "head to head" hits are going to be called nearly every time.

It is poor placement. Normally the announcers are surrounded with crazy screaming fans with signs. This is rather subdued....

Just looked at today's NBADRAFT.NET update. At 28th OG is barely hanging on to the first round. TB,JBJ and Rojo are not listed in the first or second round. Hopefully they will stay but who knows, they might look at undrafted Troy and Yogi and think "that could be me". FWIW 8 of the projected top 20 picks are from just three schools (Duke, UCLA, UK).....none of which made the FF. Edit: meant to say 8 of the top 20 picks are from 2 schools and Kentucky.

Believe it is only two since OG is gone. Have to think that at least one will be gone between TB, JBJ and ROJO. That just leaves one more between Priller, Galon or perhaps someone that does not think there are many available minutes in their future. I think that this will work itself out fairly easily.

I agree. It is obviously true he gets an unreal amount of talent but the flip side is that it is not that easy to get a bunch of freshman, all of whom have their eyes on the NBA, to play together, accept their roles and play defense. I think he is a slippery aluminum siding salesman but does a good job of on the court coaching.

Whoever thought these words would ever be uttered by an IU fan....... Might have to pull for UK today because they run a cleaner program than their opponent?!?! Last year, during the tourney, I said it was unreal that zero broadcasters mentioned University of No Classes infractions but was told to be patient. Here we are a year later and crickets in regards to the years of UNC classroom fraud.
