  1. We were good enough to beat ND and be tied with Duke with 4 or 5 minutes to go. We are not filled with elite talent but the worrisome thing is how some of the players do not even seem interested in some of the games. Nearly 20 TO's against Fort Wayne but only 9 against Duke? This team has more, much more, issues than talent.
  2. All is not lost. On a positve note we pounded them 2-0 during the last 35 seconds.
  3. Key to success....brick, brick, brick McRoberts!!!
  4. Balcony is going to be empty a lot this year.
  5. WOW..... Recording the game but accidentally saw the score so just turned in on. Have given up 17 three pointers. Is that 35 or so threes between the Fort and ISU? Not jumping overboard but never dreamed I would see that at the Hall.
  6. That foul call but was bad but I thought the one that fouled out Hartman was even worse. Farrell clearly lowered his shoulder and initiated the contact but the foul was called on Collin. i do not often complain about the refs but they had a really, really bad day. We were called when we got within three feet of no-neck but ND repeatedly bodied Morgan on his shots without being called. Very inconsistent/poor.
  7. Before Al doing it I do not recall ever seeing. a D1 guard air ball two threes in a row.
  8. I agree with your sentiments but it seems like we are a "few plays from winning several more games" year after year, after year, after year, after year, after year, after year, after year, after year, after year, after year, after year, after year, after year, after year, after year, etc., etc.
  9. A "big time" program cannot just sit on a position for four years. What if Phinisee is not as good as we hoped, gets injured, etc. Have to keep the talent funnel full. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  10. Also 1,000 likes from me. I have no idea why teams are willing to pay a fortune for a guy that has never made his NBA teams better. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  11. Unreal (and understandable) how this is being dissected..... I heard that some mornings Romeo has cereal and other days he has eggs. Do you think the increasing number of "egg days" point to him going to IU? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  12. They can both pick up a few points a game next year. What we need, however, is one or two true three point threats that can help spread the floor. Outside of Hartman I do not feel very confident when any of the guys put up a three. Victor went from not being a threat to becoming one. Maybe Al and Green can also develop. 13. This is not directed at Romeo but rather recruiting in general. I think recruiting would be absolutely the worst aspect of the job. "Regular" kids visit a campus a few times and then decide where they are going to SPEND 100k-250k over the next 4 years. Athletes, however, have coaches falling over themselves for months or years in order to "show the love" that will help drive the kid to go to their school.. 17 year olds are "put-off" because a coach "only" attends 8/10 of their events. I would hate to stake my career on the whims of 17 year olds that were judging my texts, phone calls, visits, and wether or not my "on the knees begging" was suffiecient.
  14. These days I would put Roy Williams "golly gee I had no idea what was going on" face in that category. Never dreamed I would think less of him than Scumapri but I do.
  15. I knew nothing about him but read his high school bio after your post and he sounds like one of the 3 best HS quarterbacks in history. Intriguing. Hopefully he, or someone else, steps up at QB because I think our D is going to take a big step backwards.
  16. I do not follow the NBA closely but good to see VO doing so well. IU would be lucky to have 10 VO's every year, and not just because of his talent. He is a non-Indiana native that embraced and understands the "Indiana thing"....
  17. One thing with this offense....Am I the only one that misses the weave from 25 feet out :)
  18. I do not expect it but...it would be huge to win one of those two.
  19. Good to see 10 TO's. It's a big deal if we can consistently have 6-8 to's per game than the last few years.
  20. Longer term I agree but his in-game play does not exactly scream "give me more minutes". On the offensive end, when he does not have the ball, he seems to run around without a lot of purpose. He is still a bit lost (not unexpected for a freshman early in the season).
  21. Green air balls a wide open three but then follows that up with a nice interior pass to Morgan. You can see the upside.....
  22. Every game? Every 10 minutes is a roller coaster.
  23. At the risk of being overly dramatic....."..losing this game would be a disaster.
  24. Yes, Iowa got hosed on that call.
  25. Devonte needs to get more consistent but his upside is pretty high. He had some nice kick-outs to the perimeter and makes some of the best passes into the post on the team. On the flip side when he makes a good play or two his confidence seems to soar and he makes a "get mine" and/or low percentage play. He has a lot of upside once he learns to consistently play within himself.
