Brooks is very, very good but, the way things are these days, not at the level of a typical Vandy target.

For the first time this year I looked at where the top 40 kids were going (according to 24/7 sports). One thing really jumped out....31 of the top 40 have already committed and only two of those 31 kids is going to a Big Ten school. (a Chicago kid going to UI and a PG going to MD) All of Big Ten - 2 Kansas - 4 Duke - 3 UK -3 (plus several strong leans) Oregon - 3 ?? Arizona - 2 Vandy - 2 ?? Southern Cal - 2 ??

Extreme example but Duke already has the numbers 1,3, 8 ranked 2018 recruits. Powerhouses UK and Vandy have four of the other top 13 players. Three of the top 13 have not committed. Seven of the committed top 13 players are going to Duke, UK and. Vandy. Also, Kansas has one of the other three top 13 and UNC has another.

It cannot be helped. My wife just asked me "what do you want for dinner tonight." and I replied "what do you think Romeo would like?" Just the way it is.

There is a difference between thinking we would win and not expecting to see a total lack of intensity, unforced errors, terrible defense etc.

We are probably going to go 7-5 in non-conference without an impressive win. The tourney is not in the cards this year.

The interior passing against the zone was a thing of beauty. Also....Al is only a freshman but he knows how to feed the post.

I love the optimism and how we played in the second half but before we raise the victory flag for the Duke game..... We beat a USF team that also has many players not familiar with their coach and each other. We beat a USF team that lost at home last week, by 10, to Morgan State (whatever that is) We have more talent than USF. Hope I am wrong but I think Duke will beat us by 20. Allen is going to feast on the perimeter and we are in trouble underneath if Davis picks up 3-4 fouls.
