  1. Play hard on D and things turn around. What a concept !
  2. I agree with what DD has said about Romeo tonight
  3. Someone hit the start button. Playing harder and 10-9 good guys.
  4. 9-2 Iowa, Morgan started.
  5. The timing of the 7:00 and 9:00 starts works 2% of the time. I don’t get it.
  6. Not much of a change. Four previous games: Rutgers - 4 minutes Michigan - 0 minutes Northwestern 2 minutes Purdue 3 minutes Its not a mystery as to wether or not Archie thinks he is ready.
  7. What was also different, and was different last game, is that we did not spend the first 20 seconds of each possession doing the #&#$ weave.
  8. I am very glad to be wrong but I thought MSU would crush us on the boards. What an effort!! Would like to see that again, and again.
  9. Self is delusional. Does he think he coaches UNC?
  10. I agree with ‘75 and ‘93. On the other side of the coin if Syracuse could hit a free throw we would not have won in ‘87 Net, net.....we should have 6 banners.
  11. “Crean players” are spoken about as if they are a disease and are sometimes being thrown in the same bucket. Do I think Morgan (he who has improved throughout his career and battled painful shoulder injuries) is soft? Soft, no. Quiet yes. Do I think McBob is soft? Soft, no. Limited talent, yes. Do I think Al is soft (has worked on his game and seems to really care)? Soft, no. Quiet, yes. Race-To be determined Davis-Injuries have had an unfortunate impact on his career. Others-no comment. Archie players are half the scholarship roster. Who are the Archie “bulldogs”among Fitzner, Romeo, Hunter, Anderson, Rob and Jake? I’d say yes to Rob (but quiet, like Al, at this point in his career) but the others are “to be determined” or no. Hopefully the ratio will pick up with the 2019 class.
  12. Moore played 4 minutes Jake played 8 Anderson, however, did get 22. Smith played the second most minutes behind Al. Smith is really an enigma this year. Remember the pre-season whispers that he was going to the NBA after this season... lol. A big challenge to Archie “shaking things up” is that Smith and Green have not improved and Davis, McBob and Hunter have been hurt all year. Add in that Jake, Moore and Anderson aren’t really ready and the result is that depth, which we thought would be a strength, is a glaring weakness. Throw in the overwhelmed Fitzner and that is a staggering 9 players that have not met (by actual play or due to injury) pre-season expectations.
  13. Keion. Just letting you know that if you recorded the Rutgers game there is no reason to watch it (or read about it, or talk to anyone about it). You should concentrate on your team and studies. To summarize the game, we played great on the road but the refs screwed us. Please commit to IU.
  14. Towards the end of the game I loved seeing Anderson fight for those lose balls. Thought it was great but then it hit me I was particularly fired up because seeing that from the team (other than Al) is relatively rare. That’s kind of it in a nutshell.
  15. I still ask the question....Do you recall us only playing hard 10 minutes a game last year? Maybe my memory is bad but the lack of effort/hustle/ giving a s#&t, seems to be much worse this year.
  16. Yep, HOW they have lost many of the games (and even how they won some of the cupcake games) has been more worrisome than the win/loss record.
  17. The team has regressed. Did last years team play 10 minutes a game in the Big Ten games?
  18. He did better in the Big Ten last year with the same Crean players. He has had them for an additional year but they are regressing. Other than Al no one has improved. That is a bit worrisome. EDIT: In fairness he did lose Johnson and Newkirk but you would think Rob and Romeo were pretty good substitutes.
  19. Fred does care and this has to be eating him alive. He has his faults but he is an IU guy, was around during the “good ol days” and I’d bet anything he thought he hit a home run by hiring arguably the hottest available young coach in the country (and making him the 10th highest paid coach ). He wants the team to win and has to know this will define his own legacy.
  20. I read they want to mix it up next year and have us play Duke in the early game at Cameron and then make the short 10 mile drive to UNC to play them in the late game.
  21. You still 100% on Keion?
  22. Are you asking if the team could beat Foster and McNutt quads? I think so but would not bet on it.
