Great game. Both teams having issues from the three but they are playing hard. Really going after it. Due to many issues my respect for MSU has gone down the drain but man, they are relentless. They play the way we did for the first 15 minutes of the Maryland game but they do it over and over and over.

Thanks for the update. Franklin is having a hell of a year (and sounds like a great kid). Look forward to seeing him in Bloomington.

I’m sure it did not look good and was noticed. That being said, in this era of social media there are similar negative postings on every basketball or football board in which there is a passionate/nutty fan base (I.e. going somewhere else is not going to ecscape negative comments). As an example the Penn State boards can be brutal in regards to the football team and players but they don’t have much to say during basketball because they don’t care. Unfortunately the choices, if you do not want to see negative comments, are to avoid reading the boards or play basketball at a non-hoops school like Clemson or Boise State. Not justifying behavior but just saying there are many other boards that post positives, like we do, but when things go south the pitchforks come out. “Back in the day” the game would be over and fans would just wait for the next game. Those days are long gone.

I don’t find it surprising/disturbing for a coach to tell his team to focus on the other teams two primary offensive threats. I’m sure that waaaaayyyy back in the day opposing coaches said watch out for Alford coming off a screen or a pass into Thomas without naming other players.

It’s a very sophisticated three-prong system: 1) run a bit of the Crean weave 2) have Morgan post up and try to get him the ball via a bounce pass 3) kick the ball out to Romeo, preferably 25 feet or so from the basket, and see if he can get to the hole by getting past 3-4 defenders

We MUST win at Norhwestern. At PU Morgan will get his second foul within 5 minutes and we will get smoked unless Romeo and Rob happen to go off.

I am not calling for his head but if he was being graded on his job performance so far, on a scale of 1-5 with 5 being “surpasses”, I doubt anyone would give him a 5 (or 4).

Try to be more positive. Aside from offense and defense we are pretty good.

I’m for these guys getting some playing time but Fitzner, Moore and Mac should not all be on the floor at the same time.

The Maryland game showed that we can come out on fire at the beginning of a game, and it was great to see. Crisp passing, tough defense etc. The mystery is.....why have we only started like that once out of the last ten games? Really don’t get it.

Get it under 10 at the half and we are stilll in this.

We can’t shoot but at least we turn it over.
