  1. I would have preferred to see Race start the second half instead of Brunk. Great win but I still don’t understand why the same 5 starters seemingly automatically start the second half.
  2. But we will probably drop in the NET rankings...LOL
  3. Smith airballs from 2 feet out...LOL Has had some nice boards though.
  4. Nice to see the motors re-started.
  5. A starter can go 0-15 from the field with 8 turnovers in the first half and feel confident they will still start the second half.
  6. Good things happen when we bring effort. Great to see.
  7. *Thought we would lose and am very glad to be wrong *Very encouraging to see us fall behind and respond rather than give up. *Good things happen when TJD gets the ball. I have an idea....maybe we should try that again. *Race exhibited the type of edge we need on the court. Should he start....maybe, but it depends on the match-ups. *Not to detract from the win but Minnesota missed a lot of close shots and were 34% from the field, 16% from the three and 52% from the line. Pretty poor. *ANY road win is great in the BT this year. Beat PSU at home and we will be close to a shoo-in for the tourney.
  8. It’s hard to believe that we get that amazing insight for only a few million dollars a year.
  9. Minnesota - 76 Tin Men (no heart) - 67
  10. I, and a few of my buddies, had bets on that game. We were more than a little disappointed when we went to a Chicago sports bar to watch the game only to see the freshmen get introduced as the starters. Funny now but not so much then :)
  11. I get it that Archie might/probably would not have recruited Smith and Al but they never played for Crean, never practiced for Crean, did not have the opportunity to pick up bad Crean habits, never brought him a Diet Coke, etc, etc. All three years of their college experience has been 100% Archie. You would think Archie could have done something with them in three years.
  12. He does not have to play them.......Yes, that’s what I do not understand. We were getting absolutely smoked at Maryland, as an example, but Green was still playing at the end and getting his points. Why not send a message and play walk-ons? At that point who cares if we lose by 20 or 35 and even if the message isn’t absorbed by Green maybe it would have sunk in with the rest of the team.
  13. I picked the wrong team the last three games. I do not believe my own prediction but am going down with the ship.......... IU - 73 Iowa - 68 Win this and we keep hope alive.
  14. Maybe we will find out but I recall reading that he was really tired of the recruiting bs and that there was really no off-season for college coaches. I would really prefer to see IU start to consistently play hard, hold home court, crawl into the tourney, land a few of the talented 2021 players, improve chemistry/effort next year with Green gone and Archie being the solution for the next two decades. Would I bet on those things happening....No.
  15. He has an insidious disease with up and down days. I’m not sure that he was up to it today.
  16. No scholarship players but you have to remember that Crean inherited BOTH Kyle Tabor and Brett Finkelmeir each of which were far, far more talented that Robert Johnson and Juwan Morgan.
  17. I don’t think we will know until they play the next two home games. The Maryland game was a kick in the balls buts we stunk on the road (Wiscy, MD, Rutgers) before the MSU game and then played well (until the end of the MD game) at home. I’m “hoping” that we look decent again at home. Who knows....but we will find out soon.
  18. A long time.....Did you mean to say since last year?
  19. Yep, Green was bad but so was Rob, Franklin, Brunk, etc. Would be nice if someone would introduce 4 IU players on the court to TJD. Just a thought.
