They should go full NFL style and make every single game except the national championship an on campus game. Can you imagine a home semifinal game? It’ll never happen for a number of reasons, but it would be awesome if it did.

Ticket prices are absolutely ridiculous and SO much more than for any of the other CFB playoff games. Think I saw PSU/SMU is like $200 to get in. I’d pay $1k or a little above per ticket given how rare this is but there’s no way I’m shelling out 3x that per ticket.

When do they announce the days/times?

I don’t wait for the selection to be over so all the SEC morons shut up for the next year. “Teams won’t want to play her games if SMU gets in the playoff.” Just stop it. Alabama lost to two 6-6 teams. Played a crappy non-conference schedule. We’re not talking about a team that went out and scheduled a bunch of juggernauts. They lost easy games and should be punished for it the same way any team not named Alabama would be.

People are advocating for it on Twitter. I just don't trust the committee at all. "Alabama has a win over the SEC champ, so they have a better resume than they did last week when we ranked them behind Indiana."

So what are the odds they have Alabama jump us so they can get Alabama in without bumping SMU?

He went 4-25 for 11 points against Louisville, Gonzaga, and Providence. No one cares if a kid can put up stats against Sam Houston. Except you, apparently.

He’s 100% right. If you have the brand, no one cares about your schedule. If you don’t have the brand, they use your schedule to keep you out. If Michigan, OSU, PSU, etc. had our resume they 100% would host a home game.

SEC’s a six pack of mid this year. They have quite a few good teams but no great teams, imo. Neither of these teams makes me think wow, no way we can compete with them.

Combination of all those things, imo. We’ve gone to 1 elite eight in 30 years. Won 1 tournament game in the past eight years. We’re at a point where people in their 30s weren’t even alive to see a consistently good IU team. Hell, kids entering college now were 6 years old during the Zeller/Oladipo years. You can only lose so much for so long before people check out. On the bright side, it can be turned around instantly as shown by Coach Cig (who had a far, far bigger hill to climb than any iubb coach will have). NIL is a gift to a school like IU that has the resources but didn’t want to play by the old rules. So far we’ve squandered it, but maybe that’ll change with the next hire.

I 100% would not feel nearly as strongly about firing Woodson if he wasn’t such a lazy, unlikeable, smug, *****. But when his teams stink/are dreadful to watch AND we hear all the stories about how little effort he puts into the job, it’s absolutely infuriating.

Conference championship games should all be played on campus. Neutral site games are lame. College football should be played on campus.

That would depend entirely on how he played in those 12 games. If he was pedestrian and we won in large part because of our defense and ground game then yes, absolutely I’d be looking to replace him. You can always improve your talent, especially at a position as important as quarterback.

“If you just win” is a hilarious thing to complain about. South Carolina’s daunting OOC schedule included games against 5-7 Old Dominion (who they beat by 4 points), 4-8 Akron, and 5-7 Wofford. You lost 25% of your games and played another 25% against terrible schools. Stop complaining.

Jackson’s in his third year of college though. It’s impossible to predict how he’ll do next year, but we saw the lack of a QB doom Michigan’s season this year. I don’t want the same thing to happen to us next year.

Yes, I watched the Washington game. Jackson was fine in it. He didn’t do anything to lose us the game, but the offense wasn’t as electric as it has been with Rourke. He stepped in and played well against Nebraska, but calling it “as good of a QB’ed half as we’ve seen” is overselling it quite a bit… Rourke went 17-21 for 186 yards in the first half of the same game.. If we bring in portal guys and Jackson wins the competition, great. I don’t care who the quarterback is. I just want him to be a stud. But Jackson hasn’t shown enough through his first three years of college for us to rely on him being that guy.

I really just am not seeing what others appear to be seeing in Jackson. He played one full game this year and went 11-19 for 124 yards, 1 TD, and 1 INT. It was the second lowest game of the year in both passing yards and completion percentage. What has he shown to make people confident he can be the guy to lead IU to a playoff appearance next season?
