Good Green was by far our best guard. He was fantastic in those games. I hope he stays and that Archie is able to reign him in and get "good Green" more often.
-
Not sure if this was posted on here, but I'm going to miss Freddie. He was limited talent-wise, but he always gave his all and brought a lot of toughness to the team. I wish he had another year. He made great strides under Archie this season.

Yeah I feel like math people would love it haha. Who would even be the #75 team in the country? I'm trying to see how "meh" a team you can beat to get a quadrant 1 win.
-
I just googled it and found this. "Quadrant one wins are those home games vs. teams RPI ranked 1-30, neutral games vs. 1-50, and away games vs. 1–75. For example, a home win against a top 30 team would qualify as a quadrant one victory. A Quadrant 2 win are those at Home against the RPI 31–75, neutral 51–100, and away victories over the RPI 76–135." It seems pretty silly to me honestly.

Especially if they get a tough matchup the first weekend. I was a little worried when it looked like they were going to get a 1 seed, but with their recent struggles that's not going to happen. Add that in with Painter usually not doing well in the tournament and I like the odds of them not getting to the sweet 16.

Do you mean Michigan? They only played MSU and OSU each once and lost both.
-
Purdue doesn't impress me at all. They've beat what, one good team all season?

I'd love to have more IU basketball to watch this season, but unfortunately it doesn't look like that's going to happen.

Dbm shouldn't really count though. It's obvious he's a troll -

We lost 15 times this season, but there were only four games that I would classify as "blowouts". ISU, Fort Wayne, @ Michigan State and @ Ohio State. The other 11 were all competitive for most or all of the game. Those close losses are where having a star player would make a huge difference, and I hope Romeo takes that into account when he's deciding on a school. -

I never watched him in high school, but just looking him up Harris was a top 15 recruit and a McDonald's all American. He had another Mr. Basketball on his team and still lost. I don't have a dog in this fight, but there's certainly precedent for a top player to lose in the sectional. -

Gary Harris is putting up 18 a game and shooting 40% from 3 in the NBA, so I'm not sure how you've reached this conclusion. -

Honestly I've never understood the point of the coach going to watch anyway. Like, if he's trying to decide if he wants to offer a player then it makes sense to watch him play. But, that's not the case here. We obviously want Romeo, and he knows we want him. I don't see why going to watch is so important. -
So is the season over?

What network is it on? I don't watch much college basketball other than IU, but im bored at work today.

I'd love for him to come back to Assembly. I think he would like Archie's style. Here's to hoping!

(2018) RB Kristian Pechac

Seems weird to me that he graduated early to go to a community college in Arizona, but whatever makes him happy I suppose. -
Sean Miller caught on phone

I hope Sean is vindicated. Many coaches are much worse and I feel like the NCAA would throw down the hammer on Arizona and let other schools go unscathed. -

Calling people racist makes it a hot take, but he does raise some good issues in the rest of his quotes. -
Corruption in College Basketball

Many college athletes are amateur in name only. There's no "turning amateur athletes into semi-pro athletes". That happened years ago. They've been getting paid for decades, and you still watch. Depending on your age I would bet that you've watched hundreds of games involving "amateur" athletes who are actually being paid. It hasn't stopped you yet, so why would it stop you now? -

I had a scholarship to IU but I was still allowed to use my skills to make outside money. Why shouldn't athletes be allowed to do the same? -
Corruption in College Basketball
Hoosierfan2017 replied to Stuhoo's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
It's not up to the NCAA to end one and dones. That's the NBA's rule. I'm sure there would be a way to get around paying all athletes. Most sports are already losing money and have to be supported by football and men's basketball. I'm just curious why you're so opposed to paying the players. Your "it would be the NBA 2.0" doesn't hold up. You watch basketball now even though you know that players are getting paid. The only difference would be that it would be out in the open instead of hidden. What's your real reason for being against it? -
Corruption in College Basketball
Hoosierfan2017 replied to Stuhoo's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I don't think there's much fan interest for a "tweener league". The G League has terrible attendance. Fans, for the most part, don't go to college games to watch certain players. They go to watch the schools. The name of the school is what drives the interest. Take that away and put the same players in a G league type of league and the interest would drop, imo.
