    Yeah, I'm not looking to get a leg up on other schools or to get some kind of unfair advantage. I just want a level playing field and right now that's not what we have.

    The universities themselves wouldn't have to be the ones paying the players. Just let them make money off their own likeness. Keep it how it is now but allow players to seek outside compensation as well.

    I don't have a problem with it and I've said that before in the past. I think the players should be allowed to get money if they can.

    I have no problem with Sean Miller. I mean, John Wooden cheated like crazy and he's beloved. College sports have always been like this.

    In hindsight paying for Bryant and JBJ sounds like a terrible idea, but at the time they were both McDonald's all Americans. I wouldn't be surprised if all the guys who make that team each year are getting paid.

    Garland has only lived in Nashville since like the 7th grade. Sure, it's technically the school in the town he lived in now, but it's not like he grew up a big Vandy fan all his life. I wouldn't be surprised if he was getting paid too.

    There's really minimal risk for a player like Romeo to taking a few hundred grand. He'll be a lottery pick next year regardless, and the chance of getting caught before declareing for the draft is low.

    He could've meant it in the context that they're giving all the schools one last chance to sell themselves before they make a decision. I agree with you though that on its face it doesn't sound good at all.

    He's putting up monster stats this year, particularly during conference play. 18.2 points and 7.5 rebounds a game, 59.5% from the field, and a 30.4 PER. Imagine him next year with a better team that allows him to get a little more rest during games.

    If we could somehow sneak into the NCAA tournament I think that'd go a long ways toward landing Romeo.

    Crimson Quarry's full of dorks. If Romeo wants to play with "great" players, a senior Juwan Morgan will be better than anyone Vandy has.
