  1. I'm not a big baseball fan, but Shohei Ohtani is fascinating. He went yard for the second time in as many games today. I'm rooting for him.
  2. Did someone kidnap Hoosier Guy and hack his account?
  3. That's what I figured. From everything that I've heard IU has great facilities for their athletes. The other sports benefit from having all this equipment, and it doesn't negatively affect the football team. Everyone wins. It would be one thing if the weight room/equipment was old and run down, but that's not the case here. Recruits aren't going to pick another school over IU just because other teams use the same weight room.
  4. Does it really matter who uses the weight room when the football team isn't in it? I mean, I doubt that the other sports are getting in the way when the football team is working out. Frankly, having a football-only weight room kind of seems like a waste of money.
  5. Wish we had Freddie for another year. He must be training in hopes of playing overseas or something.
  6. They went 51-31 during last year's regular season. They're 47-30 right now. Not much different. Besides, LeBron's teams shouldn't be judged by the regular season. They looked "meh" during the regular season last year and then swept the first two rounds of the playoffs and then beat #1 seed Boston in 5. The Cavs team that the Pacers took 3 of 4 from last year is much different than the team they have now. I'm not sure much can be gathered from those games.
  7. Were they good last year?
  8. This is funny. The Pacers haven't played the Cavs since they traded away half of their team. LeBron is having one of the best seasons of his career, and he always turns it up a notch in the playoffs. Oladipo is only shooting 44% from the field and 32% from 3 since the all-star break. He's either in a slump, or he's crashed back down to earth after his explosive start. Hope for the Cavs if you want, but it doesn't seem wise to me.
  9. That's how I read it too. These aren't the schools that mom and dad picked for Romeo. Maybe they wanted the same ones, but Romeo is the one who picked them.
  10. Clifton was looking a little bulkier in that picture. I know some people see him as another one of Crean's "project bigs", but I don't. He has skills. He just needed some time to get bigger and adjust to the speed of the college game. Next year he should be able to contribute some minutes off the bench, and by the time he's an upperclassman I see him really being able to contribute.
  11. You'll drive yourself crazy trying to find logic in the things Tom Crean does.
  12. Jmo signing the lease seems like a pretty strong indicator that he has no plans of leaving IU. Someone should send that picture to Romeo lol.
  13. While it may seem like Romeo is golden regardless of where he spends his year of college, I would argue that that's not necessarily true. Many McDonalds All-Americans have flamed out in the past. I forget who posted the numbers on here, but a sizeable portion of them never get more than a few cups of coffee in the NBA. What if that happens to Romeo? I don't expect it to, but he wouldn't be the first "can't miss" recruit to flop. Imo, where he goes to college is very important, and I commend him for not rushing into a decision.
  14. I'm disappointed that you applied to Purdue.
  15. What decisions have you made that are bigger? Sounds like you know people who have made some pretty bad decisions.
  16. All of the freshman basketball players live in Briscoe. And I imagine that they have the ability to choose who they live with, as all freshmen have the option to choose a roommate. The assignments don't become official until later on, but I can say with certainty that if Romeo comes to IU he will live in one of the two Briscoe buildings.
  17. If you would rather IU be the virtuous loser while the other schools continue succeeding then that's fine. It comes down to personal opinion. I get nothing out of "well at least we do things the right way!" when our team is sitting at home watching come March.
  18. It's like if you're taking a curved exam, half the class is cheating on it, and you know the teacher likely won't punish them. Their cheating negatively affects your grade. Sure, you could still do things the right way, but you're only hurting yourself. An A isn't impossible but it's much harder when the other kids are cheating with the book and you're not.
  19. I think Bazley will come to regret this decision.
  20. I'm not looking for a leg up on other schools, I just want a level playing field. Our program was decimated because of phone calls while UNC skates after years of fake classes. Watching these others schools cheat like crazy year in and year out and reap the rewards of it sucks.
  21. If everyone cheats, are you really doing anything wrong? It wouldn't be to gain an advantage over other schools. It would be an attempt to level the playing field. I don't have a problem with that.
  22. Zion needs to lose some weight, imo. 270+ is pretty beefy for a 6'6 high school senior.
