He plays a fun style that flows way better than our offense. Better basketball minds than mine can probably put details and specifics around that statement. I just know what I see when I watch his games vs ours. I say with our NIL, fan support, and recruiting grounds I'd sure as heck be happy with him at the helm.

Shrewsberry isn't someone I would target first, second, or third, but if we ended up hiring him there is an awful lot to be excited about. We need someone a little more proven is why I say that.

If we have to watch Sisley tear it up at Purdue then I'm just done caring.

Tony Bennett? Sure. Can't turn down a guy who has won a title, not to mention a ton of games in the ACC. Can we tolerate an offense scoring 22 points by halftime though? Idk. Also, he's very sink or swim. Been upset by quite a few lower seeded teams, but then again who hasn't. Just get a college coach. DeVries checks a lot of boxes too.

Omg these refs treat Edey like a total baby. Guy on Iowa poked the ball out of his hands and what do you know, 2 free throws for lurch.

Dakich has never been shy about his disdain for Buckner. I have no opinion of Buckner but the truth is probably somewhere in the middle.

Thanks. Did not catch the game last night. Good lord.

What happened that made Don say this?
-
They're playing in a different and better conference this year aren't they?
-
I'm not debating that at all. I am making the point he's still a very high premier target/candidate even if he isn't interested.

Imagine if Stevens somehow made it known he's interested in coaching college basketball again. Programs like Michigan and Louisville would instantly fire their respective coaches just to make it known they're available.
-
Stevens has turned us down twice now. The only hope is that he wants to get back in to coaching again. I can see that being way less appealing than his current job. The transfer portal and NIL seem like huge headaches to coaches.

The more I read about Josh Schertz, the Indiana State coach, the more he moves to the top of my list. His record has been awfully impressive. Young, and a good evaluator of talent by finding guys who fit his system.

How much is his buyout after this season?

It's too early for me to feel comfortable with hiring Chris Beard. He isn't far enough removed from his incident/arrest at Texas. I don't care that the charges were dropped. He got drunk and beat up his girlfriend, there's really no denying that. However, EVERYONE deserves a 2nd chance. If this all happened 10 years ago and Beard had no run-ins with the law since then, maintained his sobriety, and he was still coaching at the top of his game, then I'd be ok with considering him. Not right now though.

Maybe it's a good thing they decided to relegate this to Peacock. -

Woodson's teams have played Purdue really, really well since he's been here. Unlike the Archie years. -
A very entertaining byproduct of a win over Purdue would be making them sweat a bit in regards to the B1G race. They would be 3 games behind Wisconsin if we can pull out a win, and still having to play at UW and at UI.

Hey wait did you just drop some news? Haha
-
Man, just imagine if we hired John Beilein instead of Sampson in 2006. He would probably have won us a title by now, and would still be coaching.
-
Yeah mostly agreed, except it's very subjective to call TJD the best player in the nation. I will say having Xavier Johnson in the lineup all last season would have definitely changed things for the better. Xavier, along with JHS and Galloway would certainly have given us a better chance against Miami, that's for sure.
