  1. That's the sad part. We were making good progress under Kevin Wilson. Appearing in a bowl game in consecutive years was a big step forward as a program. There was more of an "on the upswing" type energy around IUFB too. On the recruiting trail, we were beating Power 5 teams like Minnesota, Louisville, and Wisconsin for players, rather than MAC teams like when Lynch was here. All of that progress on the field has been lost, and it's all because of the man in charge. Allen is able to land some good talent still, but they're not reaching their potential.
  2. Self must have REALLY wanted Mgbako. Seems like he's holding a grudge because he lost at his own game.
  3. Ouch, I legit thought this was a joke when someone on another site posted this rumor. Stanford averaged roughly 3,500 fans for bball games last year. Cal only averaged 2,100. They make Penn State look like Cameron Indoor.
  4. Not yet, but she settled her lawsuit with ESPN. Hope she won big. It would be great if the B1G Network picks her up.
  5. Sage Steele no longer at ESPN. Sucks, I've always liked her, and was nice having an IU alum on that network.
  6. At least we don't have to worry about him going to Purdue
  7. Disney has been a sinking ship for a while. They'll survive in the long run, but I'm hoping they jettison ESPN, and the network can get back to what it has done best for years: focus on sports. They are, after all, a SPORTS network.
  8. The guy who just won a national championship at #30, behind Tommy Lloyd, Ed Cooley, Leonard Hamilton, Brad Underwood? Yeah ok that makes sense.
  9. I'm sorry, I can't even with this quote. The guy who brags about how many 18 and 19 year olds kids he sends to the NBA every year to play against grown men on a nightly basis, is the same guy who laments the transfer portal when he doesn't sign the players he'd like to under the guise of player safety. Give me a break. Calipari is now the least self aware person I can think of.
  10. Is there any doubt who the next high profile college coach will be who suddenly decides to retire in the wake of NIL?
  11. I'm guessing those dozen regular students are NOT unattractive females.
  12. Hasn't he been here for a few unofficial visits already? Maybe there isn't much more of the campus life he needs to see at IU. He's a good student, but he won't be going anywhere for the academics, so it's not like he needs the time an OV provides to meet with academic advisors and the like.
  13. Irritated the hell out of me when people suggested Coach K retired because he wanted no part of the cesspool landscape NIL created. Uh, not buying it. He wanted no part of a more level playing field. Other schools getting the same benefits that Nike provided Duke the past decade+ was a huge threat to him. Same thing with Roy Williams.
  14. The IU rivals guy says it's down to IU and Duke, per a source close to the situation. Here's hoping that's true.
  15. And somewhere between 10-15 to end the year.
  16. I wonder what NBA vacancies Calipari will be linked to this offseason.
  17. Best words ever spoken on this site in bold, iyam.
  18. Well this guy is probably walking funny this morning.
  19. This looks like a roster of dudes now. Think 2002. Every one of the guys in our projected starting lineup looks the part of belonging to a team that is built for March.
  20. We should be right up there for favorites in the B1G this season.
  21. WOW. Gotta beat the best to be the best. Now let's smack them around Assembly Hall this season. Seriosuly, what a big get. To snag a top 10 recruit away from the other blue bloods in this short time is nothing short of spectacular.
  22. I think the staff has done a great job in this recruitment, especially given he was a late target. A lot had to happen quickly just to get him on campus. I just see him picking Kansas.
  23. Is there a specific time he will announce, or is he just making it known at any point on Friday?
  24. I'll do my best not to freak out when crystall ball picks start rolling in for Kansas here.
  25. Gotta beat the blue bloods on the court and in recruiting battles. This would certainly be a big offseason win. Still, no shame in losing a 5* to Kansas. It would sting, but no shame in it.
