    He's getting protection and his receivers are ridiculously wide open. Some of these completions there isn't an IU defender in the same area code as the receiver.

    Feels like if we lose out on Thompson it will be similar to how Micah Shrewsberry landed Jalen Haralson. Tough for a 17 year old kid to say no when he's given 70% of a team's NIL and promised starter minutes from the get go. To someone born in 2008 IU is just another program that occasionally makes the tournament. Not enough to overcome all that cash and promised minutes.

    Good work. On cue, Penn State fans on another board I frequent are already passing along information from a Penn State mod that says they have a "better shot than we thought" at Freeman.

    Wouldn't it be glorious if we completed an undefeated regular season with another 66-0 beatdown in front of a heavily-shaded-crimson crowd in West Lafayette? I've already gone to sleep thinking about this possibility.

    So happy for everyone involved with IUFB right now. What a time to be a fan. It's crazy to think that when Tom Allen was fired I was just hoping we'd get a guy who would consistently get us to 6 or 7 wins a year. Just didn't want to be an automatic win for damn near 80% of the conference How quickly things can change.

    Yeah and it isn't close either. But don't tell the NBC booth that. Doing their best to cast this as an epic battle of two evenly matched heavyweights but come on, neither team looks all that impressive. 3-3 midway through the 3rd quarter. Maybe you're both a tad overrated.

    On3 contributors seem to think it's between us and Michigan, and Jamie Shaw said he hears about us the most frequently in regard to Thompson. Staff clearly putting in work with him. He was the first player visited when Devries was hired. Went 3 deep for him last week I believe.
