So IU wins, Purdue loses, and Kentucky loses all in the same day? Sure, I'll have some more alcohol to celebrate that........ -
EAT THAT PURDUE OFFICIAL POSTGAME THREAD!!
AKHoosier replied to JaybobHoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
My heart sure is glad this game is over. -
I can't speak for everyone, but I am excited for Newkirk next year. If he can come back from his injury, Crean should be able to get the most out of him. Say what you want about Crean, but he's been very good lately about getting the most out of his transfers. Nick Zeisloft and Max B. weren't highly thought of and didn't put up big numbers at their previous schools, but I can't imagine our team without either of them now. No reason to think Newkirk won't be a similar case. I think he was a good player in the wrong system at Pitt, and he became frustrated with it and left. I was excited about him when we picked him up, and I still am.

IU vs Nebraska Post Game Thread

Hopefully this catapults us into a 3 game winning streak before the Iowa game. These last few weeks are so big for us going forward. -
Thank you. Archie Miller is not the answer. I would honestly rather extend Crean than fire him just to bring in Miller.
-
Unfortunately, I expected the game to go like this. I would definitely describe myself as a pro-Crean guy, but I can't help but feel like we're not even going to be competitive when we play a good team on the road or on a neutral court. There's no good reason to get drilled by a team we're every bit as talented as.

Purdue gave up an 11-0 run to end the game they were more or less in control of throughout. They choke more than any school EVER.
-
That'd be nice to give Purdue another loss next Saturday so they fall further down the B1G rankings. I did not think Michigan would beat them, they have practically nothing down low. Plus Levert didn't look too great, albeit his first game back in a while.

Wow that escalated quickly. I don't know what could have set Calipari off that much so fast.

Indiana vs Iowa Post Game Thread

Huge win for us to avoid a possible 3 game losing streak. Huge for our resume, stay in the hunt for the B1G, and for confidence. -
Well I'm all in for Tom Crean at Indiana, as it doesn't look like there's any way Brad Stevens will come here. The Celtics are probably the hottest team in the NBA right now not named Golden State.
-
They did lose to Notre Dame at home earlier in the year, just in case you forgot. But that probably cuts into your narrative a little.
-
Kind of like we did against Michigan, Rutgers, Nebraska, and Minnesota?
-
True but as you said, let this year play out. Before the season started, did many people think we were going to win the B1G outright? I thought there was a chance, but that we would contend throughout the season and finish top 3. That's still obviously possible, and if we can beat Iowa, Maryland, Purdue, and MSU, then we'll be right there until the end. Then the tournament just depends on matchups. As you said, just let the year play out.

I wish I could accurately put into words how I feel when I see Troy dribbling at the top of the key looking like he's starting to believe in himself.
