  I'm sorry but this is just sad and pathetic.  PC police claim yet another victim.

I don't hate them, but I'm just not a fan of the different stains of hardwood on a basketball court.   Most of all, I miss the days prior to about 5 years ago when we just played on the host team's regular floor.  It was cool seeing big teams play on the courts of Cleveland State, Middle Tennessee State, Utah, etc.

A quick glance at a KY board shows their fans already talking about their match-up with North Carolina.   In order to win, we'd have to exploit our biggest advantage: our bigs are better than theirs.  Max and Bryant should get lots of touches in the paint.

  He has to be regretting that, no matter how nice it is in LA.

  I'm really banking on the team being so upset how a majority of media personnel are already penciling in a UNC/UK matchup in the Sweet 16.  There are some outliers, but I'd say 90% of what I've seen completely ignore IU after the first round.   I hope we feel disrespected enough to play out of our minds this weekend.

I wonder how many times the terms "marketing" or "profitability" were thrown around in the selection committee room, especially in our region.   It's like the committee is a bunch of CEOs who think they're the smartest guys in the room, rather than knowledgeable followers of college basketball.

Hawaii over Cal   Little Rock over Purdue   Weber State over Xavier   VCU over Oregon State   I think a few others.  Weber State is my big one though.

  Yeah we're not getting much love, except from Jay Williams.  He likes us to beat UK.   Seeding wise, I haven't seen one person say we are under-seeded.  I don't get it.

A sick part of me wants UK and IU to fall on their swords and stick it to the NCAA by giving them a Stony Brook vs. Chattanooga matchup.

  I think they usually come out later tonight.

  Seeing as how the NCAA obviously set this potential matchup to occur, there is a 0% chance this won't be a primetime tipoff.

Pretty ridiculous to have to potentially beat the SEC champs (UK) and the ACC champs (UNC) to advance out of the Sweet 16, especially when you're the freaking outright B1G champion.   This is just such a raw deal.

Purdue Person Vitale actually has a point, and I'm about to head over to the Kentucky boards to see what they think.   Kentucky and Texas A&M split the regular season conference championship.   Kentucky wins the SEC tournament championship over A&M.   Yet, A&M gets the 3 seed and Kentucky a 4?  How does that work?

I'm just more upset with our seed rather than who we have to play, the B1G got no respect at all.   California got a better seed than us, as did Texas A&M.

Is the committee still in Indy?  I'm about to head downtown for a word if so haha

This may be one of those cases where it would have been a good idea to withhold information like this until something came out, if at all.   I can't speak for everyone obviously.  While it's great having access to tidbits and rumors like this, it may have been a better idea to not post this, and wait until after the fact (if the transfer happened) and then shared what you were told.  No worries though, doesn't look like any real harm was done, and it's what makes message boards fun.

  Exactly, but I think eventually Robert Johnson's injury was just going to catch up with us at some point.  Friday was that day.

  I was thinking about this team compared to 2012-2013 as well, and I pretty much agree with you.   Our starting 5 (with Robert Johnson) is pretty comparable, but this year's bench is way better.   2012 - 2013 main subs: Will Sheehey, Jeremy Hollowell, Hanner Perea, Derek Elston, Remy Abell   2015 - 2016 main subs: Max B., OG Anunoby, Zeisloft, Morgan. 

If we are a 4, I sure wouldn't want to play Northern Iowa as a projected 13 seed.   I think we end up a 4 though, but holding out hope for a 3.

Regardless of whether or not this has legs, this is the last thing the team needs right now.
