  1. IU wins Illinois loses at home Kentucky loses to another bad team Duke loses   What a good day!
  2. Gutted out a win to get to 5-0 with 2 home games coming up against Illinois and Northwestern.   I'll take that.
  3. This is one of those games where even if we start to pull away late, the refs will play to the crowd and keep the home team in it.   Going to be tough to pull this one out the longer we let Minnesota hang around.
  4.   True, I see him following a Noah Vonleh-like trajectory in the NBA if he declares after this year.
  5. Michigan ahead of Maryland, shooting really well from outside.
  6. Wow I just realized how bad Minnesota really is.  This game shouldn't even be close.   They haven't won since December 16th when they beat Chicago State.   Since December 5th, they're 1-8 with losses to South Dakota, South Dakota State, and Wisconsin-Milwaukee.   They also lost to Northwestern by 25 at home over the weekend, and should lose to Nebraska tonight.   Yeah this shouldn't be close at all.
  7.   I noticed that too and couldn't believe my eyes.  Having only one guard in there was really surprising to see, and it definitely worked.  It's not like our defense or offense lacked.
  8. No way on Earth is he worth that much.
  9.   I want Zeisloft to keep shooting until he finds his way out of the slump.  It's important he regains his touch before the schedule gets tougher, because we'll need his scoring eventually with Blackmon out of the lineup.   I'm sure he just needs to see the ball go through the hoop to get back into form.
  10. Road games can never be taken for granted in conference play no matter who the coach is.  Teams way better than us have lost to teams just as bad or worse than Minnesota before.   That said, I expect us to take care of business Saturday.  I'm also really excited about watching IU basketball again after about a month of "eh, yeah I guess I'll watch."
  11. Always nice to see the Boilers lose.  The fact it drops them further from the B1G race and likely out of the Top 25 makes it even nicer.   I don't think PU is as good as a lot of people were saying they were towards the beginning of the year.  They're slightly better than an OK, pretty lucky team that squeaked into the tournament last year.  They are not worthy of any Final 4 talk.
  12. The only negative I see out of today is Nick Zeisloft struggling to hit from deep.   He's definitely in a funk right now, hopefully the layover between today and Saturday at Minnesota helps him right the ship.
  13. Great display today.   Can't remember the last time I had this much fun watching an IU game.  8 straight wins to get to 4-0 in the B1G.   Lots of good momentum right now, and let's hope for a Purdue loss later today!
  14. Referees have been pretty instrumental in this semblance of an OSU comeback.   Without them it'd be a 40+ blowout.  Same thing happened against Creighton.
  15. WOW!   Most enjoyable first half I've watched in a while.  OG, Troy, Yogi, and Bryant playing so well.
  16. Minnesota falls to 6-10 on the year, and Texas Tech is 11-2.  Tubby Smith has got to be smiling.
  17.   I think we do better than that, even if it's only 12-6.  But let's say we do finish 11-7 in conference.   That puts us at 21-10 for the regular season.  Say we win one in the BTT then lose the next, putting us at 22-11 going into the NCAA Tournament as maybe a 7 or 8 seed.   Win one game in the tournament, then lose the next, resulting in a 23-12 season record.   It's crazy because if you look at his Marquette records, he averaged that for his career there: 21 wins and 10 losses.   I wonder what we do if this hypothetical plays out.  If we move on, he moves on, or he is retained for next year and beyond.  It sucks because we have the talent to be a 2 or 3 seed in the tournament and a top 10 team right now, but I don't know if we'll get to that point this year.
  18. Honestly when I watch Robert Johnson play lately, all I can think of is that scene in Blue Chips when Nick Nolte is reviewing the tape of the game his star player intentionally threw, and he comes to the realization that guy was "bought."   Now I'm obviously not suggesting this is going on here, but that's how bad he has looked the last 3 games.  Dribbling off his foot, stepping out of bounds, etc.  I think he's just going through a rough patch and he'll turn it around eventually, he's too good of a player.
  19. 3-0 with a win over Wisconsin.  I like it.
  20. At this point I'm going to assume James Blackmon will be out the whole month of January.  This isn't the worst news, as our schedule is obviously fairly easy this month.   Hopefully he can rejoin the team in a few weeks (if not sooner) in time for when our schedule gets tougher.
  21. HAHAHA!   But Purdue is a Final 4 contender!!!!   Man what a bunch of pretenders.  They haven't beaten anybody and now blew a colossal lead at home.  I love it.
  22. Good win, needed to go 2-0 to open the B1G and we were able to do that.
  23. Blown call there, RJ did not turn that over.
  24. OG!   Gem of the class so far imo.  So excited for his future here.
  25. Nebraska has some awfully nice looking assets dotting the sidelines, if you get my drift.   Just something I noticed, might as well enjoy myself while I'm watching this game.
