I'm tired of IU taking some of the blame here, as this solely is the result of UK/Calipari.   They don't want to play us because they don't care about rivalries, or they don't think we are a rival, or they want to do other neutral site matchups with other programs.   Fine, whatever.  That's their prerogative.  But I'm tired of people like Dickie V. blaming the egos of both coaches, when there's really only one coach at fault here.   We can find a way to play though, do 2 home-and-home games and 2 neutral site locations, such as:   2016: Assembly Hall 2017: Rupp Area 2018: Toronto (wherever the Raptors play) 2019: Indianapolis

I want this game more than any other in recent memory.   I'm not ready for our season to end, I'd like a week's worth of anticipation for IU/UNC.

  Yeah watching some of their comments, they really don't have much respect for IU, and it looks like they just don't have the time to play us.   I can't totally blame them since we haven't been the most relevant team in their lifetime, but they are providing us with some solid bulletin board material.

This is why I wouldn't want Sean Miller if Tom Crean doesn't work out in the long run.   Getting smoked by an 11 seed WSU right now.

I love it.  Johnson hasn't skipped a beat, OG looked amazing, Yogi looks like he's writing his masterpiece.   Bring on Stony Brook.

5 seed?   We look like better than some 3 or 4 seeds that have played so far.

  I'd like to bump my post and point out that not only did I call this upset, I probably also jinxed Purdue.

Who can blow a 13 point lead with 3:19 to go?   Who else but Purdue.

Purdue has to be tired, those bigs up in that altitude of Denver.  Must be hard to adjust.

I wish I hadn't picked this upset now, as Little Rock isn't the type of team that will beat Purdue.  They can't shoot well, and they grind it out offensively.

  I'd rather they look past this game to IU/UK than look past the entire first weekend to UNC/UK.   Pretty much everyone and their brother thinks our season ends this weekend, I hope we ruin their party.

I don't hate them, but I'm just not a fan of the different stains of hardwood on a basketball court.   Most of all, I miss the days prior to about 5 years ago when we just played on the host team's regular floor.  It was cool seeing big teams play on the courts of Cleveland State, Middle Tennessee State, Utah, etc.

A quick glance at a KY board shows their fans already talking about their match-up with North Carolina.   In order to win, we'd have to exploit our biggest advantage: our bigs are better than theirs.  Max and Bryant should get lots of touches in the paint.

  He has to be regretting that, no matter how nice it is in LA.

  I'm really banking on the team being so upset how a majority of media personnel are already penciling in a UNC/UK matchup in the Sweet 16.  There are some outliers, but I'd say 90% of what I've seen completely ignore IU after the first round.   I hope we feel disrespected enough to play out of our minds this weekend.

I wonder how many times the terms "marketing" or "profitability" were thrown around in the selection committee room, especially in our region.   It's like the committee is a bunch of CEOs who think they're the smartest guys in the room, rather than knowledgeable followers of college basketball.

Hawaii over Cal   Little Rock over Purdue   Weber State over Xavier   VCU over Oregon State   I think a few others.  Weber State is my big one though.

  Yeah we're not getting much love, except from Jay Williams.  He likes us to beat UK.   Seeding wise, I haven't seen one person say we are under-seeded.  I don't get it.

A sick part of me wants UK and IU to fall on their swords and stick it to the NCAA by giving them a Stony Brook vs. Chattanooga matchup.
