What year did we not get better than the previous under Crean? The exception of 2012-2013 to 2013-2014, we've improved every year.
-
The thing is, last night (and the past 10 years too) proved talent wins championships. You need to recruit the McDonald's All American, 5* guys. My point is we need to go hard after Thon Maker to take that extra step.
-
That's the thing though, we've said that basically every year and it still hasn't happened. I fear that he is what he is now. I'd still say I want him back as a senior, but I wouldn't mind to see his minutes go to OG, Morgan, or Hartman at the same time too.
-
This game proves he's not nearly ready to compete in the NBA. He may be ready to get paid and drafted in the first round, but his game is far from ready.
-
It sucks the game isn't even a little competitive. Maybe we're farther away from competing for a national title than we thought.
-
This one is NOT on Crean. Down a starter, and facing an opponent that just can't miss. It figures U of No Classes would have this type of game against us.
-
I've never seen anything like this. Absolutely unreal. Just f***ing ridiculous. A team that shoots 31% from 3 shoots over 80%? And of course, it happens against us. Never seen anything like this, and probably never again.

Late 2016 signing/Grad Transfer
AKHoosier replied to Hoosiers219's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
No thanks. He was pretty overrated as a 5*. I'm not sure if there's anything out there yet, but what about Michael Young from Pitt? He's a junior and I think I saw that he's on track to graduate early. He's a beast, 6'9" and 240 lbs, averaged 15 pts and 7 rebounds this year. He'd be a great replacement for Max, although he may not even transfer. I thought with the coaching change there, he may opt for his final year somewhere else that could get him more exposure, develop his game, and play on a better team. Plus his old teammate, Josh Newkirk, could recruit him here and tell him how awesome it is here. -
Don't be so sure..
-
I wonder who is on the short list to replace Dixon at Pitt. Have to think they immediately target Archie Miller, as I'm pretty sure his family is from that general area.

(5) Indiana v. (1) UNC - Pregame Thread

Time for everyone in the nation to know who Nick Zeisloft is. We so badly need him or someone else to step up in a big way and go like 5/6 from behind the arc. I really hope our 3s are falling, it'll be tough to win 2 games in a row when you're not shooting so great. -
Definitely pulling for Xavier now, I don't want to possibly play Wisconsin should we win this Friday. Xavier would be a tough out, but Wisconsin just has our number.

We definitely need "good Troy" to show up. Some of those shots and turnovers yesterday, man..... And that foul on Ulis' 3 near the end nearly resulted in my TV being thrown through the window. -

It's uncanny how much more enjoyable watching the tournament is when your team is still in it and playing well. And Kentucky isn't.

How about O.G.'s big block on Murray's 3 in the final minute? He blocked it then snagged the ball to get possession. That was huge. We're not in this position without him. -

Lots of OG and Yogi in the 2nd half. If we can get Bryant going in the post, that would be huge. Let him go right at Skal. Man, if Zeisloft can knock down a few 3s when he's getting open looks, it would really help us out. -

Whole damn team is going to foul out before halftime. I thought they were supposed to let them play in the tournament a little? -
I'm tired of IU taking some of the blame here, as this solely is the result of UK/Calipari. They don't want to play us because they don't care about rivalries, or they don't think we are a rival, or they want to do other neutral site matchups with other programs. Fine, whatever. That's their prerogative. But I'm tired of people like Dickie V. blaming the egos of both coaches, when there's really only one coach at fault here. We can find a way to play though, do 2 home-and-home games and 2 neutral site locations, such as: 2016: Assembly Hall 2017: Rupp Area 2018: Toronto (wherever the Raptors play) 2019: Indianapolis

I want this game more than any other in recent memory. I'm not ready for our season to end, I'd like a week's worth of anticipation for IU/UNC.
