f*** this game

1. It's going to be one of those games 2. Need to get something down low in the 2nd half 3. Turnovers need to be cut down drastically, or they will capitalize 4. Their students are really annoying, I had to mute the game there for a while because I just couldn't take hearing their student section

I'd say this all but eliminates Purdue from B1G contention.  Granted anything could still happen, but I seriously doubt the winner of the conference is going to have 4 or more losses this year.   I'm just glad that we still control our own destiny at this point and don't have to rely on anyone losing.

  And Missouri, who is currently sitting at 8-14 while two of their players just got arrested, including Jakeenan Gant.  Gant was a former IU target, and after reading up on him a little, THANK GOD we missed on him.

  Hahaha beat me to it.  Whipped open my laptop to come post here then head over to Rupp Rufters to watch the tears fall.    Great night.

Referees trying their best to keep Michigan in it.   They'll probably be in the double bonus by the under 12 timeout.

  Wow what a badass, playing on a team that's 12-9.   It's awfully tough to guard someone who is taking free throws.

This loss may not hurt us all that much, we just have to win against Minnesota, at Penn State, and hopefully beat Iowa at home to give them their 2nd loss after Maryland hopefully beats them tomorrow.   If we can pick up a win over Michigan on the road, that'll negate this one.   We can do it.

I emotionally detached myself from this game, couldn't even make it to halftime.  Left to go work out at the Y because I knew I'd get too angry at the officiating and stressed out.   I came back just in time to see the ESPN graphic that Nigel Hayes shot more free throws than our entire team.   Yep, glad I missed this one.  Probably a whistle every time down the floor.   F**k Wisconsin and their damn building.

  I know, I figured Davis was actually 6'8" with the flat top.  It would be incredible to have him play the 4 if Bryant (please) comes back next year.   Even putting Davis at the 5 with OG/Morgan at the 4.  So much versatility next year.

Albers is a tool but why were fans booing McIntosh?  I guess because he's an in-state kid, I mean it's not like he committed to us then de-committed to go to Northwestern or something.  Or maybe it's just drunk kids being drunk kids.

Man, I just REALLY want to win at Wisconsin.   It would be so great to get a win up there and keep this train rolling.

Northwestern definitely needs a big win for their tournament hopes, especially after coming so close against Maryland this week.   This game worries me a lot, I feel like we're due for a loss at some point against a team we SHOULD beat, and that usually comes against Northwestern.   I'll be happy with a 1 point win, especially given how this season is going.

Melo Trimble is an idiot, how in the world do you shoot a fade away 3 after dribbling for 5 seconds at the top of the key when you're in the bonus?

I don't care for Illinois.

  They always look like they're going to run over/into the other team's players.  Maybe it's supposed to get into their head or something.

Lots of UL fans believe Billy Donovan is also theirs to lose for some reason, I'm not quite sure what the history is there.

Watching Duke/Syracuse and I cannot understand why Duke sends their team managers out in a full sprint to put the chairs down for a TV timeout.   Irks me so much, maybe I'm the only one.  What message are they trying to send by doing that?

They don't scare me, which kind of scares me haha.   I hope we don't take these next two games lightly just because it's IL and NW at home.

  Yeah interesting to read, but that article lacked anything substantive.  Pure speculation and hearsay, which means it has probably a 1% chance of happening.

  They also haven't play at Kansas in Lawrence yet (January 30).  They should get pummeled.

Gutted out a win to get to 5-0 with 2 home games coming up against Illinois and Northwestern.   I'll take that.

This is one of those games where even if we start to pull away late, the refs will play to the crowd and keep the home team in it.   Going to be tough to pull this one out the longer we let Minnesota hang around.
