  1. I was just throwing the name out there because it came up on twitter this evening that he decommited. I was just posting his name out of curiosity if anyone had seen the kid play. No one mentioned him being capable to contribute here. There are literally only a few posts about who he is. Doesn’t have anything to do with Luke Brown. Sounds like youre reaching a little bit
  2. Getting back to 2019 recruiting, I saw today that Lawrence Central’s Jake LaRavia has reopened his commitment. 6-8 and from what I read from Matt Glendale from the Star he can shoot and handle it. I’m his article he called him the most complete offensive player in the state of Indiana this last season. Curious to see if the staff will reach out. Anyone here seen him play?
  3. At this point playing any more games means more practice and experience for younger players and everyone who will still be here next year. Hope this team takes it seriously though. This team has struggle to come out motivated and the last two IU teams in the NIT had the same problem. I was at the Vanderbilt game in 05’. Only highlight of that one was as Marshall Strickland was shooting a free throw someone yelled “miss it” and without delay someone yelled “shut up hillbilly” while it was dead silent and the whole place laughed
  4. They said it well during the NIT selection show, which IU team will show up? They played the last stretch of games with so much fire and then came out flat in the big ten tourney. I hope they come out with a fire under their butts and win the damn thing. There are some really good teams in this. Providence and Clemson shouldn’t be overlooked in IUs bracket
  5. I was trying to think of names but your post is 100% spot on. Too many names to remember
  6. Seems like IU was on his list as a courtesy. IU is probably last on his list. Alabama has been on him for a long time and Memphis is trending with their 2019 recruiting class
  7. Seems to be a few recruits sitting behind the bench. Any idea who is visiting today?
  8. Yeah I saw that this last week. Coach Brown seemed to be given every opportunity in the world but always seemed to totally screw up every chance. Probably could have been fired for any other thing he did. Plus I don’t think either year he was there they were particularly good. Funny thing is during the show he said he had signed to play at IU as a player but got into some trouble and got his scholarship yanked before even going. I never found any hard proof of that but it was an interesting tie. Seemed like a coach Knight type figure who would hold everyone else accountable but themselves
  9. Who else was visiting today? Saw a headline about a Indiana hosting a 7 footer as well but didn’t recognize him
  10. I think IU was in on Guy for a long time but he didn’t care for Crean at all. He has family that has worked at IU for a long time but the family didn’t like Crean
  11. Watching players like Bohannon have completely changed how I look at players like Leal, Galloway, and Brown. Seems like under Crean they didn’t pursue players that had IU sad their dream school and I think there is something to be said for those types. Maybe they will wear the jersey with a little more pride. Iu has passed on players like Ryan Cline and Kellen Dunham in the past and it eventually bites them in the backside
  12. Honestly getting juco and grad transfer players is so hit and miss at IU over the last decade it seems. I’d give it a shot, but there are a lot of question marks there
  13. I agree with most of everyone’s criticisms of the staff and players this year, but this is just ludicrous. Crean seemed to offer everything that moved whereas Miller had been very specific and particular about who he even offers. If he was just looking for players to say yes there are several players like Anthony Leal and Try Galloway who’d already be committed
  14. Nothing is written in stone yet but I could definitely see him going to Marquette, Michigan or Northwestern and being one of those players we all wish IU had pursued more
  15. Justin Fields was granted immediately eligibility at OSU after playing in most of the games this year so I don’t see why Tuttle wouldn’t be granted his eligibility
  16. I’ve heard “next weekend” for about 3 months now it seems
  17. Brian snow from 247 sports said that with all the transfer problems under Crean, if Archie would have booted any players when he came in, IU wouldve faced a post season ban due to APR (academic progress rate) being so low. Snow was on the radio last week saying he believed Miller would’ve basically cleaned slate when he came in if he could’ve.
  18. I would hate to lose him as RB coach, but the OC hire was way too vital to give it to someone who’d never done it before. If he does leave, IU has had really good track record of RB coaches. Plus the backs that IU has
  19. I think he would’ve if not for the APR issues the program was facing when he came in.
  20. Sorry man! Just trying to back you up that I’ve heard the same rumor. I never said it was a big. I heard 6’ 9”. Not sure why I added the “or bigger”. Just heard that he was 6’ 9” and potential the best of the income recruits.
  21. I have seen the rumors about another recruit a part from Brooks. No names but it’s someone that is 6’ 9” or bigger supposedly. I guess we will see At the beginning of the week there was talk by recruiting experts that Brooks was going to commit this weekend but I haven’t heard any updates
  22. I stand corrected. Thank you for the info!
  23. He was going to be a preferred walk on at Houston from what I had read
  24. Pretty cool article on him on Bleacher Report a month or so back. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2810851-run-charlie-run-70-touchdowns-later-high-school-back-still-seeking-attention
  25. I think this article is exactly why we as a fan base should be patient (I know, shocking). We are only one recruiting class into Miller’s career here. As writers like Brian Snow at 247 noted, Miller couldn’t clean the slate when he came in due to APR issues the Crean staff left behind. Look at Miller’s first full class and you see majority long, athletic guys who look to be mostly 3-4 year players. Teams like Purdue, Michigan, Michigan St, and Nebraska are experienced teams that build rosters and feature mostly upperclassmen. Yes all teams do benefit from the occasional 1 and done by the major points of the roster are experienced. im just as frustrated as anyone. I’ve turned more games off this year than I have in the past but there have been improvements. I think the players Miller is recruiting bodes well. Time will only tell
