For the last 2 months Uvwo has been on 1 of the all time rolls.

I had to pull this back around because if you’re in to live music this dude did God’s work. Have now listened to maybe 5 of his shows and the sound quality of these sometimes 30-40 year old concerts, most of which are just club venues, is stunning. Listening now to a Midnight Oil show from 1988 and it’s spectacular. And the more you dig around the more stuff you happen across that ya just gotta hear. Amazing. Want to buy this guy a beer and talk about this project in the worst way.

Always does this old heart good. Hope springs eternal. Interesting little note here, maybe: I’ve never seem Samet listed as anything but 7’2”, so I assume that’s correct or really close. If so, Karvala looks to be all of 6’8”. One of the advantages of recruiting physically immature kids, they may still be growing.

From the Fullerton roster notes: “led his team to three district championships and two final-four appearances.” There is embellishment and then there is straight up bull$hit. This is the latter. I go to a couple of Chaminade games every year because they’re 10 mins from me and they play a really good schedule. I vaguely recall a big white kid who played a little. But he most definitely “led” no one anywhere. That being said, there’s certainly no downside to a big kid to serve as practice fodder for Sherrell and Samet. Welcome aboard, young man.

That dude had it right the 1st time. He’s basically a scoring lead guard with enough facilitation chops that you can’t run doubles at him. Really clever, understands angles. Great change of pace. Plus vision. He does it differently but practically he’s much closer to Shai than he is to Hali.

Haven’t been keeping super close track but I believe this is Lamar’s 4th workout(Dal, Sac, Atl) and Tucker’s 2nd or 3rd(Pacers and I think there was another one).

RIP to the great Raymond Berry. Hall of Famer and holder of every imaginable receiving record when he retired. Also had an ok run as a Head Coach. Took the Patriots to their 1st Super Bowl where they were cannon fodder for the ‘85 Bears.

Would say that a kid extolling how much he’s looking forward to visiting again when his announcement date is 3 days away seems, I don’t know, pretty promising.

Has been mentioned in a few places as a possible reclass candidate, which would be logical because he’s already 18. Protypical modern big. The whole toolkit, both ends. Would be a godsend as a 3rd big. Saw his games with Karvala and he’s an easy yes for anybody, though I’ve always wondered why a kid that talented who plays hard and looks like a good teammate doesn’t have a giant list, and he doesn’t.

Have thought that Okc has by far the best chance to trade for Giannis if they wanted to because they could offer Holmgren, maybe Caruso’s contract and a slew of 1’s and I don’t see who beats that deal without giving up so much that risk Giannis nixing it. But if you’re Milwaukee are you willing to trust that the kid’s not irreparably broken now?

There’s no such thing as an actual stopper for the kid, obviously, but OG is about as good a matchup for Wemby as you can have. Side note: I’m trying to think of as stark an example of a player getting in another player’s head as badly as Wemby got into Holmgren’s. The last 2 games he wanted no part of that guy.

Anderson as well as Josiah Rose among the American players invited. Given the effort the staff appears to be putting into Anderson I kind of think Kenny will be busting out the passport.

Modern rules and with those players brought forward to 2026 in the exact same physical conditioning and skill development state as 1964 IU wins comfortably. What would be wild would be playing with the rules, interpretations and officiating of that period. IU would probably commit 30 TO’s and walk ons are probably playing at the end of the game because everyone’s fouled out.

Ok, just posting this because it rocks. Kid started at Triton Junior College outside Chicago and now has an Ivy League degree and is going to Grad School at Northwestern while getting to play a year in the B1G. Nicely done, young man.

Oh c’mon, the pork is the fun part. Dying to see some bill called something like “The College Sports Restoration to Greatness Act” that includes tax breaks for a data center outside Missoula.

This article lists all of the full rosters and in doing so makes, I think, pretty clear this writer’s concerns, no that’s the wrong word, let’s say reserved judgement on DDV. He’s got them ranked behind Iowa, Nebraska and Purdue and looking at the rosters I don’t think from a purely talent perspective most people would land there. I don’t.

Ok, this confused the hell out of me. Reading Dave waxing lyrical about…..The MC5. How did that happen? Was going with it until the dinner/cafe listening unless Dave and the wife do very different restaurants than we do.
