  1. Don’t know if IU gets in here but with Cig’s obsession with productivity, Jesus, it doesn’t get much more productive than that.
  2. Beat me to it. The anti-Mendoza. The look on Cook’s face when he thinks about the question for a second and just says, “Diggs” would be horrifying if it wasn’t so funny.
  3. Haven’t watched a bunch of bowl games this year but USC was the 1st team I’ve seen that pretty obviously didn’t want to be there.
  4. Yes, yes it would. Not well versed in the Mormon faith but I assume the “Slim Jesus” nickname would need to be shelved for a year.
  5. https://basketballsphere.com/en/from-partizan-to-the-ncaa-six-colleges-line-up-for-miikka-muurinen/ Interesting. Muurinen is quoted here saying he will definitely play in college next year. Somebody is gonna write a serious check. I’m gonna guess BYU for 2 reasons: 1) Dybantsa will be off their book and clearly Mormon money is insane. 2) Kevin Young has a deserved reputation as both both a development guy and a high end system coach. But no one will have more shots to offer and the IU system would be appealing. Guess we’ll see.
  6. The GOAT right here. Can you imagine Keith Jackson calling an IU NC game? Don’t get me wrong, if IU’s playing for a Natty I don’t care if it’s being called by Phil Jackson, just sayin’.
  7. Oh look, the President of the NCAA has popped his head out of his hole to emphatically assert……basically nothing at all. What an inspiring leader.
  8. My nominee for the worst fanbase in CFB. I give you Auburn. You’ve really got to read the replies here. Awesome. They introduced Golesh 3 weeks ago.
  9. Gonna go out on the world’s shortest limb and guess IU’s not involved here. This is literally the anti-Cig kid.
  10. I don’t think there’s much terribly insightful here. But Hurley has a huge megaphone and the guys like him and Cal and Pitino who do need to be talking about this mess nonstop.
  11. A friend asked me the other day about Muurinen and I told him that I assumed that ship had sailed and he’d play in Europe next year. Guess that was a bit quick. Ridiculously talented and no doubt super expensive, but, hey, you’re gonna have a bunch of open minutes available.
  12. https://247sports.com/college/indiana/article/indiana-hoosiers-football-cornerback-dangelo-ponds-never-stops-competing-268334322/ Very nice article on Ponds. Love that kid so much. Sort of feeling he’s gonna get one against Simpson.
  13. I didn’t realize it was still a concern but apparently Cooper is officially a full go, per pretty much everyone all at once.
  14. Couldn’t think of anywhere to put this, but here’s the NCAA just continuing to create more exceptions every day. I assume minor league baseball players will be treated the same. Serious question: has NCAA leadership made the conscious decision that they are so irrelevant in the new world order that they want to be bypassed and ultimately dissolved and replaced by some other governing entity? Certainly feels that way.
  15. Would think so. But, you just know his girlfriend is some girl he’s known since 2nd grade who he helped up after she got knocked down at recess. Now she teaches at some really tough school in Miami and they write one another letters every week. Not e-mails, letters.
  16. Was in scouting for not quite 12 years when I got out of college a million or so years ago. Got out of it and into normal life late 90’s and strictly a hobby since then. But the tools available are so good and readily accessible now and combined with this little spot to scribble my thoughts that it kind of feeds my addiction because I absolutely love it.
  17. To the extent that I’d be sympathetic to a G-League kid going the college route, a situation like Pate is probably as close as it would get. He signed with G-League Ignite after classing up knowing he would be playing a minimum of 2 years with them before he would be draft eligible. It folded after his 1st year and he was denied a draft eligibility waiver because he was still 18. He played a year abroad which I guess was kind of a mess and then went undrafted and is now back in the G-League. He’s really young and it wouldn’t bother me if the kid played in college given that he would have under today’s circumstances.
  18. This has Muss written all over it.
  19. God, I hope IU is 1 of them.
  20. That’s a very good win. Bosco is really good and Collins is a top 10 kid.
