OMG. Barry Odom has apparently hired back Ryan Walters’ DC at Purdue, Kevin Kane, to be his DC. You remember, the guy who gave up 66 to IU? That guy. Not sure that hire closes the gap to Cig/Haines for little brother.

How many worse tackling games do you see at this level? Bama DB’s are straight turning down hits. If there’s one criticism of DeBoer that’s 100% merited it’s how physical Bama no longer is. And yet they’re still in it.

Wow, if you only knew about these teams by the Gameday analysis you’d say this was IU- Indiana St. Not 1 of these guys seems to think Bama’s even got a shot. Pretty floored listening to this.

Bella Vista’s actual results are gonna be tied pretty heavily to what Sadler does. He plays with the ball a lot and hunts his 1st. Would imagine Nasir Anderson was a bad matchup for him. That kid’s got the body and athleticism of a 25yo man.

He also orchestrated freezing out Jordan during MJ’s 1st All-Star game. That thing was such a shame because those guys would have been awesome complimentary pieces.

Is Cherry expected to be on the roster this year or does his playing career look done?

At this point, Cig has more collateral than maybe any coach, ever. He could bring in this dude to play QB and I’m just gonna say ok, brilliant move Cig.

Using the always dubious scouting of the stat line, am I correct in assuming he’s a bit of a gunslinger? He threw more picks in 400 attempts last year than Mendoza threw in the last 2 years in 700. But he also threw 29 scores, So I assume he’s really trying to make plays?

Should be really excellent watches. Prolific has a million guys, including top 10 ‘27 PG Nasir Anderson, who has an IU offer. Wheeler is always really good and this year they have Colben Landrew, who had an IU offer under the old staff and broke Painter’s heart by picking UConn, Jaron Saulsberry, who’s going to Ole Miss and a ‘27 PG named Kevin Savage with a PU offer.

Will continue following these guys going forward. They’re great.

Had 1 of those incredibly gruesome looking “Is he ever gonna play again” sort of injuries end of October and then played in the last game of the year. Crazy tough.

That is “Do you believe in miracles?” level. Genius call.

Jordan Smith kicks off the event tomorrow. Such a good event. Debated going this year. Bad call not doing it. Definitely will at some point.

Watching this game now. I’m trying to like this kid because this sort of feels like one that could go on for a while and might be a thing, but he misses all my hot buttons. He’s got 1 really nice skill, shooting, and seems to process the game pretty well but there’s not a lot of projectability there. The only way he’s getting shots in college is if they’re manufactured for him. He’s nothing but a floor spacer though he can clearly do that. And, man, I don’t know who he defends. He’s as tweener as it gets. He’s still really young so maybe it comes, but he just looks to me like a niche piece at the HM level. Side note: when you’re watching one of these and you see some kid rolling off a screen into a catch and shoot 3 and he rises confidently and then fires it off the top of the board you need to let me know that’s coming. Don’t know who that kid is but he rose up like Curry and then shot it 5 feet long. I choked on an ice cube.
