  1. They were pretty funny, talking about a "70-burger" still being in play late in the game.
  2. I could never imagine a football season like this one. When the offense is in rhythm, it is a thing of beauty. And, this is the most dominant defense I have ever witnessed at IU. Looking forward to what they do next.
  3. Ryan Day has quickly moved up the list of most disliked coaches. Undeservedly arrogant leading a team I can never root for. I would have had no problem if the player last week would have run it in. But the victory formation fake was a d*ck move.
  4. We have a better coach than either one of these teams. Why would you pass from there on first down.
  5. Definitely. I think our defense and running game are the keys to win. We were getting positive yardage against OSU with the run game. Just couldn't get anything going via the pass. Those sacks were brutal.
  6. It's probably "the ghosts of football seasons past" but this game worries me. Purdue didn't look too bad at MSU in the second half. I know, that is a low bar but ruining our playoff chances would make their season a success. At least to them. The weather concerns me as well. That will be one cold ball. Hard to throw, catch, and hold on to. That said, I'm all in on this team in a way I have never been with IU football.
  7. It's really hard for me to imagine that CMW and the players on this team enjoy getting their butts kicked. I never liked it when I played competitively. Pride has to be a factor at some point. This program needs a change in leadership as soon as possible. Maybe something can be salvaged from this collection of talent. I don't see that happening under the current coaching staff.
  8. Bright side is that it is the Bahamas. Not all is lost.
  9. Given what our president and ad did for the football program, I don't believe this will be allowed to go on much longer. I won't be disrespectful to CMW, but it's clear that he is not the guy to lead IU basketball.
  10. I have tried to believe, I have given every benefit of the doubt, but this beyond acceptable. The talent on this team is top ten in the country. And yet they play like this. I only watched the first half, but I could see where the game was going. Something has to change. We have too much money invested in these guys to accept this kind of effort.
  11. All of us can agree on some things. Well done.
  12. I get that completely. But, I think the talent level of the last two teams we have played is on another level. Michigan struggled early because they couldn't figure out who their quarterback was. But they still had a roster with plenty of talent, especially on the defensive side of the ball. OSU is OSU. Over 50% of their roster is 5* talent. We split those games and were two or three plays form being in a very competitive game with OSU. As much as I hate to say it, they are probably the best football team in the country. You could be right and we fade down the stretch, but I believe this team still has something in the tank. Maybe this week we catch our second wind.
  13. Reminds me of the Burger King commercial a few years ago that had a giant Burger King guy looking in windows. Verrry creepy.
  14. I think that basketball has been bad enough for long enough that everyone is ready for something different. This football team is the right thing at the right time. CCC is right. Why not us. We are putting the resources in place to not only sustain what is happening, but to build to something much better.
  15. The pissed off Cigs - 49 Little brother - 10
  16. Perspective here. No one expected IU to be in an important game in November. CCC took a bunch of undervalued players and developed a very good team. We lost today to the best team that money could buy. The offense struggled but, to me, the defense played a good game given the talent discrepancy. OSU has over 50% of their roster 5* players. Given our investment in football, we will close the gap. It's going to take time but we have the right people in the right places to be successful. We're not going back to traditional IU football. It hurts to lose this game. They are arguably the best team in college football. No shame in losing at their place. We'll move on and take it out on Purdue next week and finish a truly remarkable season.
  17. Our running backs should have a field day against Purdue. Neither of these teams are very good.
  18. Honestly, forgot the game was on. Given the success of the football team, I haven't been that invested in basketball. Probably won't be until Cig's boys are finished. I saw the score and figured the pitchforks would be out. I'm really looking forward to Saturday in Columbus.
  19. I had a stent after a procedure to remove a kidney stone. Not fun at all and had to deal with it for three days before it could be removed. Hope I never have to go through that again.
  20. I'm not so sure. Sometimes a narrative takes on a life of its own. I see two camps about Indiana this season. One loves the story and has been gaining followers as the wins continue to mount. The other is Indiana hasn't played anyone, and while a cute story, they will get exposed when they play a real team. I get it. We've been bad forever. What most people miss is that this is not even remotely similar to those teams. First time I can remember that we are good in all three phases of the game. I have not idea if we can win on Saturday, but this is not the Indiana football team that they have been familiar with.
