Is Garza’s college game that much different than Tim Duncan’s college game? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

I think Bruce Pearl would be a legitimate target in terms of reality and I think he would win big and as you noted, bring a level of excitement back to Indiana that hasn’t been here since Yogis senior year and really Zeller and Oladipos final year Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

When your losing on average by double digits and losing on the road by 16 there is nothing to follow, watch attentively, get excited about. They are literally wasting so many people’s time and after a while, people just refuse to waste it anymore Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

I think it is - when your team is never a good shooting team, there is usually a correlation back tot the coach. doesn’t help he hired a football trainer either which I believe has thrown off strokes/muscle memory etc. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

I posted last season how players had regressed at the free throw line and at the 3 point line from the time they were with Crean to Archie. Haven’t taken a look this year, would likely need to base it on high school vs Archie for the newer players. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

And the lack of talent is on Archie. His recruits sans TJD aren’t great and why leave two open scholarships as if we were good to go? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Today was the first time I’ve seen TJD walk the dog. Everyone has one of those games, hope this is his one and he gets back to playing with purpose. If he starts doing this most games like his teammates we are in for a world of hurt Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

(2020) SG Trey Galloway To IU
MikeRoberts replied to Uspshoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
He is my favorite of the 3 recruits coming in. On a different team he could help by being the jack of all trades/glue man. On this team... Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -
Have they started putting for sale signs in Archie’s yard yet? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

I think he ends up getting another year but I think there needs to be things shown in order for that to happen. He has to go out and get a shooter that can contribute right away. Freshmen, Juco, grad transfer it doesn’t mater. I also think another change needs to be made when it comes to his staff and in my opinion the training staff Recruiting is off and player development is off, something needs change Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

People are warn out. Even the loyalists aren’t even attending nor watching. It would be more of a shock for us to win on the road than get beat by 24 There is just no faith and that takes the fun and excitement out of it. At least when Crean was rebuilding we saw something brewing that was exciting. He couldn’t sustain it but there was an excitement There is just no excitement around IU basketball under Archie. Double digit road losses have been Archie’s calling card at IU. The 20+ that are stacking up are a treat to watch Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Michigan putting on a clinic on how to space the floor, 2 guys in the corners allows spacing to get into the lane and always leaves an outlet for the post/driver. Meanwhile we could fit our entire team on a postage stamp How can Archie see that for more than 2 times down the court and not call a timeout to get movement and spacing? It’s crushing to watch. We play great D, then a hedge out to mid court and the sea opens Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

If his body can handle it he needs to play 25+ minutes a game. He’s the only guy we have with length that can stretch the floor Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

We absolutely need shooters. We also need another/better point guard and if we are going to play a big lineup, one of those bigs needs to be able to shoot. Right now we have 5 bigs and none of them are a threat from more than 10 feet away. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

This would help a ton but we have other problems that needed fixing before we take any huge steps. If we don’t go out and land one of the top available grad transfer sharp shooters than I will be even more confused than I was last year when we didn’t go out and get it Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

How many games will we play against a team with only 7 recruited scholarship players on it? I’m not following the point of your post? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

77 points is still 77 points no matter how you evaluate it and Indiana will not win many games giving up 77 points. Green went off and that happens like 3 times a year, the rest of the time he buries us - we are fortunate it was a good night for him Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

(2021) PF Caleb Furst to Purdue
MikeRoberts replied to Uspshoosier's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Are we a player for Furst? It would be disappointing to see him go elsewhere as he to me is the epitome of a 3-4 year guy that could contribute a lot from the start Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
100% regarding Green. He took his shots but they were not coming from him dribbling around for 20 seconds. He moved the ball and got it back for open shots Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Never understood why anyone looks at this. We gave up 77 points which is what Iowa is averaging in conference play. They have been winning scoring 77 except for when they play another team that is making every shot they chuck Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

(2021) G Luke Brown to Ball State
MikeRoberts replied to HoosierCoop's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
We could use that 3 point shooting Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
Maybe it was my imagination but I don’t think TJD and Brunk played good many minutes together against Iowa, that’s a good thing While Green hit his shots, he also didn’t dribble the air out of the ball which was a good thing. Negatively, our defense was suspect and took a best of performance from deep to out gun them. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
