Very tough reading with regards to his personal life. I hope he keeps it together for his kids. Knight coached in a much different era, and we all have stories of his abuse/coaching. Would I have played for him if I was good enough? Probably until I got booted like a lot of the others. Would I want my son to play for a coach like that? Hell no.

Start making 3's and win. Get TB involved early in 2nd half. We havent played well and were close. I hate Kentucky. -

We Are The Champions IU vs Iowa Post Game Thread

As Ive said before, just something different about this Crean coached team. I actually felt fairly good even when they tied it up and we were getting screwed by the officials. One helluva win and outright champs; no one can say we backed into this one. Congrats to the team and Crean. Great defense and hard, unselfish play wins championships. I am mighty proud tonight. Cheers to all here at Btown; something for us all to celebrate together even in cyberspace. -
Really nice to see ths kind of win on the road. When the shots started falling it was lights out. If we can play like the 2nd half, we can win the B1G and probably make a deep tourney run. As i have said previously, there is something different about this Crean coached team. All we have ever wanted was consistent play with wins and good kids. Seems Crean is on to something and it's great to see. Congrats Coach and team.

Agree on everything you said although Teddy was as favorable to us as I ever remember. Normally, he goes out of his way to screw us. -
EAT THAT PURDUE OFFICIAL POSTGAME THREAD!!

Agree plus the ill advised 3 point shot when all we needed was to run out the clock to win. Purdue converted on a 3 so thats a 6 point difference on 2 boneheaded plays by our all american. Yogi did shoot much better today, and his overall play was very good. I will take the w. I thought i would never say this, but Teddy V actually called a good game and didnt screw us. He must have gotten nostalgic missing the great Indiana teams. He also embarrassed Painter and iceds OG's free throw. -
Crean came up with a great game plan against their bigs. This along with our few turnvers and their terrible 3 shooting early was the difference. Blowing a 19 point lead and Yogi jacking up the late 3 was tough to watch, but Crean deserves credit with this win. The play after timeout with OG dunking may have been his here at Indiana, so I definately see improvement. I want deep tourney runs to make me feel even better.

Yogi couldnt throw it in the ocean, but he keeps shooting. God forbid he look underneath or set another teammate up for a good shot. He may hold a lot of records, but he has never been clutch or had a game winning shot . Senior leadership just isnt there and we desperately need that today. We have no coach on the floor or off of it.

Chuck Marlowe has passed away at 86

He put up with the General all those years. Chuck will be welcomed to the pearly gates. -
Look for Iowa to get TB in foul trouble early. Thats an easy recipe for success. Next, they will let Yogi get early outside looks, not play him tight to avoid his penetration, and hope he has a scorers mentality tonight. If he doesnt facilitate we are in trouble. Plus, if we run the Harlem Globetrotters shuffle out front it won't be good. To have success against this Iowa team, we should press their point after every made basket and trap in the corners every time the ball goes there. If we can get Bryant good looks early, the D will have to collapse and this will give us good 3 looks. If Iowa makes a semi decent run early, call a damn timeout before it could get out of hand. If a player gets hot, leave him in the game. We have a big opportunity tonight to earn major respect. Lets do this!

Yes, probably more than 50% of all D1 coaches. Very sad but true.
