They should definitely be compiling a list of targets right now -- guys that are likely to hit the portal and guys that might be "enticed" to hit the portal. :)

That’s why most coaches suck. They are too cool for school. True professionals, regardless of the profession, analyze the situation and figure out what they need to do. They answer the fundamental question — what do I need to do to succeed. Any coach that comes into the Big10, or any league, and doesn’t understand what they need to do, isn’t a very good coach. Sure, some may adapt and adjust, but that is time lost. Seems Dusty May figured it out day one.

His comments were not center specific. It was more regarding the general style of play in the Big10. He needed better players top to bottom. We were out manned a lot this year.

The only thing I am worried about is CDDv admission that he misjudged the Big10. That is simply an epic fail. I just don't know how you do that. Hopefully he gets it right this time with the help of Ryan Carr.

Because it about more than money. Coaching matters. The reason Cig did what he did is because he can flat out coach.

I don’t think he said that it would take years to win. He said it would take years to balance the roster by class, so you don’t have to replace a whole roster. Sounds like he is a build thru HS recruits and supplement needs via the portal.

So he wasted a year trying to "win now." Now does he go younger and suffer the growing pains of a young team? He coulda shoulda done that this year.

he has a lot better choices anyway, boos or no boos. That is the fundamental problem.
