  1. Will someone just tell him to adapt. He fixes the offense to focus more on scoring, the players will like it and the recruiting will follow. Better players = more wins.
  2. He obviously doesn't think our season is going into late March. :)
  3. Sounds like code for "I don't like how he plays defense" regardless if he can help us score.
  4. Seriously, Crean started with dudes working at Starbucks and got to the tourney in four years. So it can be done.
  5. Frankly, there is no reason he shouldn't play. He's got to be ready, at least for a few min. to provide some offense to stop a 10-0 run.
  6. Buffalouis for life. That's something I can get behind. :)
  7. Right, It would depend on who becomes available. IF an A-list candidate became available, it's time to make a move.
  8. Top 4 Big teams have an offense ppg/defense ppg over 10 ppg. (ok OSU at 9.5) IU is at 2.8 - That's basically one bucket. Good for 9th and just above the really crappy teams who are less than 1. They score more points (by possibly avoiding those 10-0 runs), while keeping their defense the same, they win more games.
  9. That's fair. But he basically took over a Div 3 program. At this point I'd settle for the kid that coaches the AEPi rec team over Archie.
  10. I know a lot of people don't want another mid-major coach, but I'll throw out Porter Moser. He's done some pretty good things the last few years at Loyola and has them ranked 22.
  11. For me it was his complete failure to adapt to a big time program. He could get away with being one dimensional at Dayton. In the Big10 you have to be good on both sides of the ball. Crean had the problem on defense. Archie has the same problem on offense.
  12. You get what you measure and reward. Defense has improved. Shooting sucks.
  13. Archie's problem is Archie. He won't adapt. Thus he'll continue to be a mid-major coach. And that is what he brought IU.
  14. A few of those 10-0 runs didn't help. Sometimes the best defense is a good offense.
  15. I got to ride in an elevator with Pitino at the B-town Hilton Garden Inn. I'll take him over Archie. :)
  16. I just can't understand why Stewart isn't comming off the bench to hit some outside shots when we are in the midst of the wrong end of a 10-0 run.
  17. I'm not 100% sure on that. The Bulls G leage team practices at a park district facility. Limited access based on hours and other activities -- have to share the court with the pee wees, tournaments, and volleyball. And I'll guess the travel arraingements on a Big 10 team are better than the G league.
  18. Sure but Vandy is an academic school and extremely difficult to get into. I heard it from an assistant coach at a neighboring school a few years ago when the Kid was down there for a tournament. Our coach setup a tour of their locker room and facilities and spent an hour answering questions. That one came up. :) But the point is, most athletically successful academic schools are super lenient on admitting athletes. I am not sure IU falls into that category.
  19. Ok. Not really a compliance issue though. That’s been Northwestern’s problem for years. Coaches need to negotiate that when they are hired. Rumor has it that Vandy’s baseball coach has a clause which requires the University to admit any player he wants. Has a couple of CWS appearances to show for it.
  20. Me thinking a better offense would make a difference is silly then?
  21. Can any of you provide concrete examples of supposed "compliance" restrictions that put us at a disadvantage vs other programs? It's like "Big Foot" -- we hear about it, but never see it.
  22. Make the hoops bigger — maybe we’ll hit a shot. :) just a bunch of noise that shows we are a downhill program that needs form over substance. Just win baby.
  23. I don't give a rat's behind about CAM's "personality." Just win baby.
  24. I'm talking regulation. I think we missed at least three (maybe four) quick wide open 3s coming down the stretch.
