Every one of his issues is solved by wininng. You want a packed stadium -- Win. Turning it into a minor league baseball stadium isn't going to do it. Getting the right coach will. As for recruiting Indiana kids, nobody says you have to have all Indiana players. But if you don't dominate your backyard in recruiting, how can you expect to get any interest from outside the state.

I disagree. Football and basketball are the view the general public gets of the University. Success attracts students. That’s why misbehaving coaches are let go. Empty seats and boos are a really bad look. The public doesn’t care how good the school of xyz is. If the BOT doesn’t understand that the teams represent their brand they should resign and go to a mac school.

And Little 5 was still kick a$$. Fun times indeed. These current students are missing out on these great life experiences. Feel bad for them.

Agreed, except the players know. They are probably booing AM as well. These kids grew up playing basketball. They know good vs. bad coaching. They know how to achieve success. AM handcuffs them and they don't like it -- no player would. That's why he can't recruit players and we have open scholarships.

I feel so bad for the students/players. I got Knight in his prime and an 87 championship. Good times indeed. That's the way it should be. We gotta get back there, just have to.

Screw the trustees. Donolson needs to step up and unload Archie. It's his job. If the Trustee's want to fire Donolson for doing his job, then so be it.

He needs to decide or resign. The AD makes the decision -- that's what you hired him for.

Cam's a beast. My kid played with him as a youth. Fun to watch him grow up and get into the tourney.

Actually, it you watch Archie he's consistently yelling at Rob to "GO." Even last night, there was a point he was really animated at Rob to "GO!!!" but Rob kept walking it up. Archie's fault for not correcting that problem.

Yeah. I think we are stuck with either that guy out at USC, Enfield, (or someone like him) or a Fife (or similar). I don't see a final four type P5 coach comming here anytime soon.

If the text is true, then I believe this is why. Kid reclassified for nothing. You'd think an honest college coach would let him know he needs more seasoning in HS. Hell even I could see it.

IDK. We have to stop worrying about past stuff -- the past is for losers and cowards. Can the guy recruit, can the guy coach, and can the guy win? Those are really the only questions that need answered.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing, expecting different results. The only way we improve next year is if there is a philosophy change at the top. Archie has shown he is unable to make such change. Thus, the AD needs to make the change for him.

Agree. The offense sucks. And then sucks some more. Why would anyone want to play for a coach, any coach, with this sucky offense. Hint, they don't. So that leads to bad recruiting, which leads to losses, which lead to the toilet bowl. And here we are.

Maybe recruits don't like losing to Purdue either.

Maybe it could be a situation where they can have the right guy already picked out -- Say Mack. So it's a fire and hire, no interm search. Otherwise, stick with Archie, until you can line the next guy up next year?

Maybe he's trying to get away from the in-laws. Bloomington is close enough to Louisville to do the special occasions (b-days, holidays, etc.).
