  1. All that is great, but we need a coach that can win with the talent IU can attract. Great players make "Great" coaches -- it's easy to win with the best talent.
  2. Right. Nothing like looking at the whole record.
  3. Sure, and people think the Fitzgerald "hazing" thing is bad. :)
  4. I'm no Fitzgerald superfan. And his recent records are a concern. Sometimes coaches get stale at their current gig and a change of scenery gives them new blood, so to speak. In the end, I just want someone competent on the football side of things that can give us some "Football Saturdays."
  5. Thanks for making my point. A small minority of one controls. If the plebs had their way NW sports would be D3.
  6. You’re obviously not familiar with the opposition. It was in no way a slam dunk. 5-4 with the Mayor breaking the tie.
  7. IU is freaking right wing compared to NW. :)
  8. Part of the story is NW and the town it’s located in are the very definition of woke. Frankly, they would get rid of the masculine activity that is sports all together. The NW “charges” are way overblown, which is why he wasn’t originally fired.
  9. He'd be a diamond in the rough, and that "stain" on his departure might get him interested in IU. If that wasn't there, he'd have multiple other opportunities.
  10. Well F them. That's a marque game. Should be on a real network -- FS1, BTN and such. :)
  11. Should be in separate post. It’s complete BS IMO. Plus putting a IU vs Purdue game on there. F the big 10
  12. These are the frustrations we are going to have to deal with when you build your team thru "free agency." There is only so much you can do in practice and limited time. Schemes and systems need to be simplified, especially early in the season.
  13. Objective complaints are fine. The whole freaking world is ending for IU basketball stuff -- not so much. :)
  14. You SOBs are so schizophrenic. Up and Down within a few pages. My IU grad kid was moaning and groaning as well, with about 6 min left. I said patience grasshopper. Never give up boys. And Kudos to Woodson for pulling a zone out of his rear. Should keep the "fire Mike Woodson" thread at bay for a few more games. :)
  15. What was better was cupps and him communicating the switch on D, putting sparks in the right spot.
  16. Nah. Can never hate any IU player. Frustrated -- hell yeah. To the Nth degree. I guess I'm just old. Come from the days when IU players where at least polished. And fundamentally sound. Even the worst shooter could hit a shot from time to time and a freaking free throw (remember the old "make more than they take days). Today's players (applies to many teams, just not IU) just aren't as sound as the golden years. Plus, they are softer, can't handle adversity, let alone a lot of red a$$ from a coach. Oh, and get off my lawn.
  17. Yeah, I was a gym class All American. :) Kid is well into his second year. Should be calmed down by now.
  18. He's a spaz. He sees an open shot and becomes a 5 year old, hyped up on sugar, at toys R us.
  19. Ah ha. What I have been waiting for. The "Fire Mike Woodson" thread. :)
  20. Moneyball rule: If he can shoot, why doesn’t he shoot good?
  21. How about this. Stats don’t matter until January. Right now the sample size is too small to make them relevant. You would have learned this in stats class.
