  1. Certainly would like to know what actually happened. He did eventually move to another parking lot. Kind of a smarta$$ move but technically in compliance.
  2. They probably told him to go get 100 tacos. Not get arrested. :)
  3. so did the older players send the young rookie on a late night taco run?
  4. You miss the point that most questionable recruits don't even get the chance to apply. Howard obviously thought he could get some guys thru, and did not. Just proves my point that Michigan has lower admission standards for athletes (but I didn't say everyone gets in). As for Fitz and Collins, NW got very lucky with those guys. Both grew up in the Chicago area. Both young with kids. Collins kids are now out of the nest, will be interesting to see what happens if his success continues. I am not saying NW hasn't upped their game over the years -- they are paid good money, newish facilities, etc.
  5. So does Michigan football have a problem getting dudes in? You keep showing a one off and not looking at the bigger picture. There are guys going to Michigan for athletics who couldn't sniff NW. And I guess we'll get to see how well their coaching search will go. It's not a top tier job.
  6. Not even close. One coach doesn't make a trend. Look at their past. Typically their coaches move on. Since the 1980s starting with Dennis Green until Fitz -- 4 coaches lasted about 4-6 years. And Fitz could have gone if he wanted to, but he was at his home. Basketball, before Carmody, you're looking at 4 coaches between 3-8 years. Most of those coaches left with woefully loosing programs. And once again, two players out of how many don't make something 10000% false. Those schools have a much more lenient admissions policy for athletes than NW. Guys like Love and Shannon, as automatic no's, couldn't even step foot on NW campus. That has been one of the negotiation points for Fitz and Collins -- loosen up the admission requirement for athletes.
  7. They aren't serious about their sports. Unlike Michigan, ND, and other "smart" schools they handicap their coaches via admissions, among other things. Few coaches wind up staying very long.
  8. IDK, I've never experienced an "Naked hazing" in my years. And if "Big Willy Wonka" stuck his thing in my face, for whatever reason, he'd be paying for it. But I'll say it again, if this stuff really happened at NW, we know why their football program generally sucked. And now, thanks to the way they handled it, it's going to suck for quite some time. They should join the PAC 12 or something.
  9. Yeah, but NW is ultra liberal and woke. I'll bet most of the professors there don't even want college sports.
  10. The university statement is vague and can mean just about anything. It’s now corrupted by media reporting of specifics. I know when my son’s fraternity was investigated for hazing the report wasn’t even close.
  11. No problem. I'll just leave it at this gem from John Henry Wigmore: "Cross examination is beyond any doubt the greatest legal engine ever invented for the discovery of truth."
  12. Why? You either rebuild the program and facility to compete in the Big10. Or you join the MAC or something, where they belong.
  13. Oh, did you see the investigative document?
  14. Yeah, just the virtue signaling trying to outdo the virtue signaling. There are even calls to stop the plans to renovate their stadium. We pretty much now know why NW football generally sucks.
  15. I think just like you, most what is considered "hazing" these days is just dudes messing with each other. It's all in good fun and no harm intended. Now I just don't buy the "stories" that have come out with NW football. I believe they may have messed with dudes that made mistakes, dumb plays, or whatever. But the nakedness and "humping" allegations see far out there. These guys are football players -- if something went "too far," somebody's @$$ would get kicked. They usually don't take a lot of crap. Hell back several years ago at our high school, one kid was getting harassed by the "chosen star" of the team. The victim took maters into his own hands and pissed on the star's gear. Sure he got in trouble, but the crap stopped. He went on to be a state placed wrestler and in college was part of a championship team. :)
  16. Anything naked is just plain weird. Anything violent is out of bounds. Making them Cary stuff, stupid names, getting food, etc. — who cares.
  17. True story from back in the day. We had an early morning practice, 6 am or something. Running backs, QBs and center. Shorts and helmets. Well the center did wear a jock and was free wheeling down there. The QBs were dying. Must have fumbled dozens of snaps. :)
  18. Do you really think there was that much nakedness going on? That’s just too weird for smart dudes that go to NW. I think it’s embellished. But if true it’s no wonder they sucked. I want my football players to kick @$$ and take names.
  19. As the kid said, "Damn, now I have to watch Lebron."
  20. Better than the freaking candy apple Taylor Swift sequined red that Grady Dick was wearing. :)
  21. I saw the GS GM being taken away in handcuffs. :)
  22. I hope freaking so. I stayed up late and due to freaking commercials missed the announcement. What BS. I hate the NBA anyway cause it sucks and is just bad basketball. And this is a perfect example, among many good players who didn't even get drafted. Go get them TJD. :)
  23. When did Zeller turn 50? :)
  24. Did you see his face light up when he started talking about next years team and what they where going to do? Like a kid on Christmas.
  25. Woodson always said he did well in practice with them.
