(2025) SF - Winters Grady to Michigan
TheWatShot replied to Stuhoo's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Man, our staff is crushing it...now we're even missing on the ones we get a late start on! -
Braylon Mullins (2025) SG - to UConn
TheWatShot replied to Barrel Rick's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Given the recruiting struggles of our staff, not sure they'd be in a position to turn down a local 5 star that wanted to come home. And let's be real, anyone who's serious about winning wouldn't, either. -
(2025) SF - Winters Grady to Michigan

Kind of what I was thinking. We're probably overdue to lose one to Michigan again. Might have to avoid this board for a bit if he picks Iowa over us. -
The next step will be the Big Ten having OSU and Oregon get back on the field for the final 10 seconds and tell the refs to keep throwing flags until OSU scores and play it out.

(2025) - PF Eric Reibe to UConn

We don't compare favorably to a lot of the schools we recruit against. It would help if we actually had some kind of system and recruited guys who were fits for it. -

Does goal differential have any impact on any rankings? -
Didn't think Oregon was going to win after they played it safe and kicked the field goal. Seeing OSU fans try to cope with a loss is always worth it, even if it's only temporary. Especially after all that offseason talk about how Michigan winning it all made them so angry they were going to destroy everyone in their path. lol

For those who missed it: Purdue was down 27-3 early in the second half at Illinois. Illinois leaves its defense in the locker room, Purdue scores every time it has the ball in the second half. Illinois goes up 40-28 with five minutes left. Purdue scores with a minute and a half to go, recovers an onside kick, scores again 3 plays later and gets a two-point conversion to lead 43-40. Illinois picks up 28 yards on 3rd and 17 to set up a game-tying field goal as time expires. Illinois scores on its first play in OT. Purdue scores on its second play, goes for two, and the QB gets sacked back at the 20 to end the game.

They “Retired” Coach Woodson Thread
TheWatShot replied to Banksyrules's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
You're more likely to see posts in this thread in the fall because: 1) The season is starting soon. 2) Fall is when most high school recruits make their decisions, which usually means we get bad news about high school players the staff spent an eternity recruiting. -
Braylon Mullins (2025) SG - to UConn

Might not be a bad idea. These days, it seems our fans get awfully excited at the idea of our competitors landing other recruits because it might mean we get the guy we're after by default. That doesn't seem like a winning strategy long term. -
I wonder if Rhode Island will pull the plug after this season, or if they still have the outdated belief that you have to give a coach 4 years to prove he's no good. But this is also his third season, which means it should be the year the players finally grasp how to play the pack-line defense (tic). So maybe they'll be mediocre instead of awful.

IU Men's Soccer News and Notes

If we blow this one I might actually go on a rant about IU soccer. -

It usually isn't when it's IU basketball recruiting somebody. I'm more surprised when a player actually announces for us anymore. At least now we know we can just buy players from the portal in the spring. -
Brace yourselves...the outsider perspective is going to start to shift from "look at that, IU's football team is winning, isn't it cute?" to "Who do these guys think they are? Go back to the little kids' table where you belong!" I saw a pretty funny conversation with a Michigan fan who said he was rooting against IU for the first time this weekend because he didn't like how excited IU fans were getting. Good stuff.

I hadn't even noticed Rice's fingernails until Dakich brought it up. Imagine attacking a couple college basketball players for wearing suits to media day. What a sad, pathetic little man he's become.

In what way? The link is telling me the page doesn't exist.

We can certainly relate. Can't say I feel sorry for them, though. -
Purdon't picked to win the Big Ten
TheWatShot replied to Loaded Chicken Sandwich's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Every time I think he can't possibly come up with another diamond in the rough/unicorn/cheat code of a player, he finds one. I think Purdue being picked where they are has more to do with Painter than anyone on their roster. -

So, we getting this kid? This is usually the part where some random school enters the chat.
