  1. It's easier to take changes in stride when your team is among the best. It's a lot easier to hate changes when you're also busy hating that your team isn't good anymore.
  2. She was Rookie of the Year last season, so not sure what's going on now. I've seen various comments other places that she showed up for training camp overweight and out of shape.
  3. I guess since the Pacers didn't give up a huge run to start the game this time, they decided to give up a huge run to start the second quarter instead.
  4. When Tamika Catchings was still around, the Fever were widely regarded as one of the best-run organizations in the league. They made the playoffs 12 straight times (a record which still stands today), won a championship and had two other Finals appearances all without a #1 pick on their roster. Since Catchings retired, they've probably been the worst-run organization in the league. They finally get to pick first overall, then get to do it back to back years and this is the result? Clark and Boston will probably be fine in the long run, but there's a lot of dead weight on this roster. (Just realized this would probably be better for the General WBB thread. Understood if the mods wish to move it.)
  5. I think it can be both. No way the Celtics have this big of a free throw advantage in Indy. At the same time, it probably doesn't get to OT if the Pacers don't inbound the ball like a high school team.
  6. I have to mute the TV whenever these people start trying to explain how a guy is in the act of shooting.
  7. Still don't trust Haliburton in close games. Dude is so shaky trying to dribble against pressure.
  8. This is why people say NBA games are rigged. Literally all you have to do is inbound the ball, so why is nobody coming to the inbounder to get it? Throwing a pass directly under your own basket to a guy running toward the baseline is beyond idiotic.
  9. That's going to be Boston ball. Unreal.
  10. Saw the score was 2-2. Checked back a few minutes later and it was 12-0. Probably a good indicator of how this series will go.
  11. Good for her. That was probably a smart thing to do. Most of the people attacking her probably didn't even know who she was until a month ago. The league really screwed the Fever with the schedule having 5 of the first 7 against title contenders. Hopefully the fans who have been at the games continue to show up.
  12. Saw some comments recently that she looks slower and out of shape compared to last season. I would have rather seen Clark shoot a logo 3 for the win than Boston trying to dribble through three defenders for the tie.
  13. Didn't realize Stephanie White was coaching Connecticut now. She played for the Fever back in the day and did a phenomenal job coaching a nondescript Fever team to the Finals in 2015. Naturally she left for a higher-paying college job which she was later fired from, then returned to the league to coach a different team while the Fever fired their next two coaches.
  14. Always impressed with how NBA refs can see a travel when they really want to.
  15. I don't know anything about her, but the early returns haven't looked great. To be fair, the league gave them a brutal schedule to start things off. New York is a juggernaut and Connecticut isn't far behind.
  16. Almost wish this series was best of 9 so the Pacers could embarrass the Knicks at home one more time.
  17. Pacers have been trash on the road in the postseason. Not convinced they win a game in New York.
  18. Whatever the Pacers did in Game 4 obviously didn't make it to New York.
  19. Only joking, but I wonder how much the Timberwolves were blackmailed to throw their last two games. Never seen a team win two on the road then come home and get dominated twice like that. The other night they gave up 8 points in 19 seconds to end the half.
  20. Maybe, but they lost a lot more than just Clark. Maybe Bluder has seen what they have coming back and isn't in the mood for a multi-year rebuild.
  21. Few things are more rewarding in an NBA playoff game than a guy flopping all over the place begging for calls and not getting them while his team gets annihilated.
  22. It's probably higher seed. We were the home team against Purdue.
  23. Pass up open shot, pass up open shot, have Siakam hoist contested jumper doesn't feel like a winning strategy.
  24. Could somebody please put DiVincenzo on his @$$? Sick of this guy ever since that bush-league flop at the end of Game 1.
