  1. Thought Mendoza could run that in. Kind of irritating/concerning that Old Dominion's defense seems to be faster than our offense.
  2. The word "generational" has been getting thrown around a lot since Andrew Luck.
  3. It's nice that we can actually score goals now. It'd be even nicer if we'd stop falling behind 2-0.
  4. Still no schedule...not sure what we're waiting on. Everyone else seems to have theirs out now. I looked at a few other local teams and noticed we're hosting Butler on 11/19.
  5. Saw a comment on a Facebook post today that it's just too hard for the Colts to win anymore because the fans are so negative and don't support the players enough. Chances the person is an IU basketball fan?
  6. I wish we'd get an SEC team somewhere in there, just to show them what's up. We'd better make hay against Big Ten teams and any postseason games, because it's hard for people to take a program seriously when they're scheduling like this.
  7. I'm guessing that thing at midcourt was AI's attempt at the IU trident? Also, one of the crying Boilers has an extra finger.
  8. Kind of a good sign that we were resilient and chippy with a team of foreigners that we had no history with and won't see again. Woodson's teams were totally cool with letting Penn State push them around.
  9. People are waiting for the other shoe to drop. Winning football seasons are like mild winters for this fanbase: rare occurrences that are appreciated when they happen, but always mean hell to pay the following year. (And you could probably say this for the basketball program these days as well)
  10. We finally get a year with no OSU or Michigan and now PSU decides to have its best team in awhile. "IU football is so lucky." --said no one ever.
  11. Throughout the Miller/Woodson years, I always found myself thinking we didn't usually have the hallmarks of a team that gets after it in practice. I'm not surprised Miller and Woodson didn't want us to see their practices, because I think we would have eviscerated them and they both knew it.
  12. Last year it was announced on August 15th.
  13. Recruiting has a lot more to do with personal connections than recent results. Our recruiting fell off a cliff when Glenn Box left to become a head coach at Miami of Ohio. We have a new recruiting coordinator now so hopefully it helps. There aren't a whole lot of perks to moving to Indiana for college unless you're tight with the coaching staff.
  14. We once had a recruit ruled ineligible because he played two minutes in a game with professionals. Times sure have changed.
  15. I've never understood the purpose in having a tough non-conference football schedule. I'd like to have at least one game outside of the Big Ten that's a compelling opponent and will draw viewers, but from all other angles? Pointless.
  16. Hopefully the staff knew this was a realistic possibility and was prepared for it. I know previous regimes wouldn't have been.
  17. You're a bit behind the times. This is from an article dated two years ago: https://www.wane.com/top-stories/goodbye-basketball-hello-pickleball-spiece-fieldhouse-to-make-vast-changes-to-facility/ It must be a big city thing. I have yet to meet a single person who's ever played it.
  18. If the past 2 decades of IU basketball message board fandom have taught me anything, whenever our fans have doubts about an opposing coach's abilities, they're usually wrong. I actually wish we had gotten McCollum instead of DeVries, but that's another discussion.
  19. Not only getting a 4 star recruit to Iowa, but nabbing a guy Matt Painter spent years on? Yeah, McCollum is going to be a problem.
  20. It would be the most IU basketball thing ever if we're one of the last teams in next year. We'd have two extremely annoying contingents to deal with: the first would sh*t on us by saying we only got in because it expanded. The second would say stuff like "Poor Archie Miller/Mike Woodson! IU gave him such a raw deal. He'd still be employed right now if this had happened sooner!"
  21. Not expecting that, but I would have liked to see a couple more P5 teams instead of Chicago State and Alabama A&M.
  22. It's college basketball in 2025. Demand additional eligibility and the NCAA will give it to you.
  23. About 20 years ago, St. Joe's had a season where they didn't lose until March. That's the only reason I know they exist.
  24. They could have just consulted Matt Painter. That guy knows how to find every person in the world over 7 feet.
