  1. Louisville continues to take our lunch money and cash in on our ineptitude. One of these days, when we have a team again, we're going to show them what's up...maybe.
  2. SEC programs love hiring their coaches from other SEC programs.
  3. Not going to hit the panic button yet, but maybe the biggest red flag with Archie Miller early on was that no one was drawn to him and he couldn't bring in any talent right off the bat. He was here 4 months before he finally got a commitment from anybody (yes, I know that was pre-portal). We have literally a whole roster to fill, we'll pay well, and we're sitting here watching other programs load up with new players. This is why the DeVries hire didn't excite me. Nothing about him is going to excite people about coming here. We think Indiana is a special place with everything a basketball coach could want, but teenagers don't see it that way. They need to be convinced. Right now I'm not sure we have someone who can do that.
  4. Isn't this the guy who said DeVries would be our new coach a whole week before it was announced?
  5. Boomers don't retire. Their jobs are their lives.
  6. Not looking forward to this board a month from now if we still have a handful of open scholarships. Didn't DeVries have a top 25 class coming in to West Virginia? Are any of them coming with him (other than his son)? We need all the help we can get.
  7. I don't know all the details, but it's beyond ridiculous if we lost her because of some jackwagon on the men's team.
  8. We close to getting anyone? Kind of annoying that Purdue's season ended just 3 days ago and they've already nabbed a transfer. Heck, we haven't even gotten our new coach's son yet.
  9. His first season here, his defense was #174. With all those walk-ons and managers. And he managed to be even worse than that by year 7. lol
  10. SEC just toying with the Big Ten this weekend.
  11. CBS never met a commercial it didn't like. They don't want anything getting in the way of their commercials.
  12. Every year, I think it will finally be the year Tennessee makes a Final Four, and every year their offense disappears.
  13. This four-year snapshot perfectly sums up Crean as a coach: 2011-12: #4 offense, #72 defense 2012-13: #2 offense, #19 defense 2013-14: #138 offense, #26 defense 2014-15: #8 offense, #200 defense
  14. Just found out Florida coming back from the dead killed my bracket. I'm behind a person who picked the same teams in the remaining games. Bracket contests are stupid anyways.
  15. LOL at the "largest lead tonight" graphic when Duke went up by 20.
  16. Duke getting hosed by the stripes, you don't see that every decade.
  17. I knew as soon as they showed that crying kid in the Florida jersey that Florida would end up winning.
  18. I had St. John's in the Final Four, so this game wouldn't do anything for my bracket, but it could have messed up the brackets for my competitors who picked Florida. I usually begin reaching the burnout phase of March Madness when I find myself rooting for an underdog to help me out, then the other team comes back from the dead to win.
  19. Everyone wondered why Houston was the Midwest #1 and had to go to Indy to face Purdue, but why is Florida in the West? It's about 2,500 miles from Tallahassee to San Francisco. Houston to the West and Florida to Indy would have made more sense. Still feels like the committee pandered to Purdue this year. No way they get that much of a crowd in San Francisco and Florida probably would have waxed them.
  20. 8 of the top 9 Kenpom teams make up the Elite 8. I'm guessing that's never happened before.
  21. I feel the same way. It's why I was hoping against all hope for Brad Stevens, or some other hire that would shock the college basketball world to its core. Instead, we just hired another guy. He might go on to be wildly successful here, who knows. But I distinctly remember the day John Calipari was hired at UK, and how the college basketball world collectively sh*t itself thinking UK was going to own the sport for the next decade. That's what I wanted here. But nothing that good ever happens to this program anymore. Aside from all that, I found myself feeling frustrated after last night's games. I'm sick and tired of watching Purdue out-perform us every year and hoping they don't so something improbable like they nearly did a year ago. They lost 12 games this year, only one more than us, yet they were one play away from playing a practical home game for a second straight Final Four appearance. When are we ever going to be in this position again? When will we even be close? The program wasn't in too bad of a spot when Crean was fired, but the past decade got away from us real quick. I think we're all just mentally drained and fatigued.
  22. I've had some pretty wicked insomnia lately, so that's why I'm still up. But when is the NCAA going to decide enough is enough with these games running past midnight? It was 12:45 a.m. when Purdue's season ended.
  23. Going into a commercial break in the first half between Tennessee and Kentucky, the score graphic in the lower left corner of the screen showed Tennessee leading Purdue. In the final minutes of Purdue-Houston, I became convinced it was a glitch in the matrix.
