Not going to overreact either, but the field goal sequence was embarrassing. Delay of game penalties happen when people aren't communicating or don't know where they're supposed to be. That will absolutely burn us if it happens against a better team. -
First quarter was good. This quarter has been last week all over again.

November is kind of interesting. Two true road games, two neutral site games and a revenge game with Butler. December is a snooze fest.

At Florida State 11/16 Butler at home 11/19 Neutral site with Gonzaga, then either Marquette or Iowa State 11/25 through 11/28

We had a couple basketball games with Kennesaw State in recent memory. Both of those games made me uncomfortable. Hopefully this one won't.

I was a little surprised ODU didn't onside kick after they scored. Maybe they were just happy to be close. The ghosts of IU football past still lurk when a mid-major opponent is within striking distance in the fourth.

This game was too much of a slog. Hoping next week is better.

Thought Mendoza could run that in. Kind of irritating/concerning that Old Dominion's defense seems to be faster than our offense.

Still no schedule...not sure what we're waiting on. Everyone else seems to have theirs out now. I looked at a few other local teams and noticed we're hosting Butler on 11/19.

Saw a comment on a Facebook post today that it's just too hard for the Colts to win anymore because the fans are so negative and don't support the players enough. Chances the person is an IU basketball fan?

I wish we'd get an SEC team somewhere in there, just to show them what's up. We'd better make hay against Big Ten teams and any postseason games, because it's hard for people to take a program seriously when they're scheduling like this.

Kind of a good sign that we were resilient and chippy with a team of foreigners that we had no history with and won't see again. Woodson's teams were totally cool with letting Penn State push them around.

People are waiting for the other shoe to drop. Winning football seasons are like mild winters for this fanbase: rare occurrences that are appreciated when they happen, but always mean hell to pay the following year. (And you could probably say this for the basketball program these days as well)

We finally get a year with no OSU or Michigan and now PSU decides to have its best team in awhile. "IU football is so lucky." --said no one ever.
