  1. Team looks like the developed some solid defensive habits during our cake walk opening schedule. Loved seeing them work their way out of a shooting slump to start the game. Worked it inside to Bryant pretty well, but we need more of that.
  2. 12 turnovers on the road = A win and zero 17 sprints
  3. Let's just change this to the the "How Do You Feel About Tom Crean Today?" thread. We play into the level of competition so hard. Great game tonight. Hope we close out the rest of the year this way.
  4. Curious, why? Maybe pull this into a new thread... Pace and scoring both up this year. More exciting basketball! And the Warriors have shown that you don't need to run a dribble drive offense on a shorter shot clock. They've got the most beautiful passing I've ever seen.
  5.   Why does he have books to write and autographs to sign? In large part because of his brilliance as a coach, but also because of Indiana, the school, fans, and players. He chose not to forgive the school that gave him everything he needed to succeed, chose not to repay his fans by giving them the opportunity to applaud him in the Hall one more time, and chose not to honor his players who gave him everything and more and cemented his legacy.   Get out of here with the idolization of a small, small man who demonstrates only selfishness, stubbornness, and weakness in his inability to admit he was wrong.
  6. We'd have to win out, and there'd have to be a bunch of upsets to close out conference play. The latter is highly likely though.
  7. Wonder if he feels screwed over by the school as he cashes in checks from loyal Indiana fans paying for his autographs and his books. Must be real hard for him to stomach.
  8. I agree. The 8 seed is also based on current resume. We have the opportunity to get into that 1-4 range with a quality finish.
  9. Why? If we lose in the first round, sure.
  10. He's buried himself head first waiting for his fans...
  11. I think that 167 weeks was just for the AP rankings. I believe this is the first time in 8 years they aren't in either the AP or Coaches Poll. Could be wrong.
  12. First time in 8 years
  13. Hutch, nice write up. I think the most promising thing we saw from this team during the past two (ugly) games was highlighted in your first point. Last year's team truly lived and died by the three. We saw that the team still really relies on shooting, but they have learned how to play through the post when the shots aren't falling.   I'd really like to see the team work more consistently through the post even when shots are falling. We seem to use the post as a last resort after forcing bad shots, when really we should feed the post more often to create better looks. Don't really expect that to happen though...
  14. It's just a pretty empty argument given there is zero evidence to support this claim. Troy is his own unique player, with his own unique mentality. Izzo is a better coach than Crean, but Crean also receives a lot of praise from his former players on his development abilities. I don't understand your original purpose in stating that Troy would be a better player if coached by Izzo, but it adds very little value in this discussion about the remainder of Indiana's season.
  15. Chill mikey. Hartman has not looked any where close to as good as last year.
  16. Oh wow you're right. Ranking per 247   Carter - 2 Walker - 21 Durham - 190 Obiagu - 13 Mitchell - 38
  17. This is just in-state ranking, but good to see he's impressing.
  18. Yup. Like this year. We had 13 solid scholarship players at the beginning of the summer. We started the season a few months later with an open scholarship.
  19. How many players have been "Creaned"?
  20. He tried. He got Hayes up in the air. Didn't do a good enough job jumping into Hayes on his shot though.
  21. Miami wears the same uni
  22. A coaching failure would be to restrict Troy from handling the ball in games. The kid has potential and talent, but probably needs a shorter leash than he is being given currently. We have seen Troy recognize when he should slow down on a fast break this year. We don't see it consistently which is a big issue, but he has made improvements in his awareness.
