  1. Exactly. Regardless of what is to come, Crean has effectively dumped a bucket of liquid nitrogen all over his seat. We demanded change after Maui, and he and the team made change happen. I have not seen a Crean coached team display this kind of growth and change during his time at Indiana.   For those who still want him fired, don't worry, he still has plenty of opportunities to take a blow torch to his seat. Hope he doesn't though, because this team is FUN.
  2. I'd feel better than if we lost RoJo.
  3. Disagree. We have more depth in the post than at guard this year, given the performances of Beifeldt, OG, and Morgan.
  4. I get your point and agree, we've hardly played any truly solid teams. But those same teams have also shown that they have the ability to beat the best/better teams in the country. OSU over UK, Wisconsin over MSU, and U of I over Purdue. Better teams than us haven't gotten it done against the same teams we rolled. Not implying any kind of transitive relationship, just pointing out that very few other teams in the country are taking care of business against the same talent.   My only opinion is that this team and Coach are performing near the best we could have hoped for at the moment, and they have the schedule to turn these performances into a habit before we get to a real challenge. Hopefully, these habits are fully formed by then.
  5. I understand the schedule is easy, but at some point we've got to just look at how the team is playing. They're playing like a team, and they've been correcting their weaknesses; both turnovers and defense are much improved. It's getting interesting is all I'm saying.
  6. Kid is doing all he can do to help us win. And that's what will get him drafted. Keep it up Yogi!
  7. So... This team is looking much more like the team we hoped we'd see. Looking forward to seeing us play some tougher competition, but Crean has effectively silenced the hot seat discussion for this season, IMO. Granted, that can change if this team were to revert back to Maui form, but if the performances against OSU, Wisconsin, and Illinois are indicative of what this team has developed into, Crean is back next year.
  8. OSU has a pretty full roster for next year already   http://www.elevenwarriors.com/ohio-state-basketball/scholarship-grid
  9. Via BleacherReport:   Thomas Bryant, Indiana "To me he's a guy not ready to play in the NBA. There are people in his ear saying that he needs to come out because he'll be a first-round pick this year, which may be true, but he could just as easily go in the second round. And even if he does get drafted in the first round, he's so far from being able to play in an NBA game that he's one of these guys who could play himself out of the league very quickly, and before he knows it, he'll end up in the D-League."   http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2604753-2016-nba-draft-could-include-fewer-one-and-dones-influence-future-decisions?utm_source=cnn.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=editorial
  10. Late night McDonald's cravings are too real. For real though, I take my favorite player statement back. Drunk driving is for losers and people without the decency to respect the lives of those around them.
  11. Oh so good. How have we all missed the opportunity to make this joke...
  12. Oh yes! Peter Jok is my favorite non-IU player of the 2015-2016 season. What a reason to play a sport. I want this kid to cash in. No more eating off the dollar menu, get this kid to the league! It's gonna be all artisan 100% angus beef burgers from here on out! @TaylorRooks: Iowa's Peter Jok tells me he started playing basketball because he likes McDonalds. He only went to practice because they ate there after.
  13. Go back and look at every one of Crean's post games then. It's honestly mentioned in most. You didn't use the word "conspiracy", you are correct. You instead stated that you found it interesting that RoJo's health is only mentioned after a poor performance, which is false. I took your statement as an implication that you believe Crean may be trying to create excuses for his player.
  14. Wasn't literal, but thanks for the info. Always nice to see someone overcome that kind of adversity. I meant more that I don't recall his recruitment. Update: apparently I haven't watched much Hawkeye basketball (not shocking). Kid is a junior. Having some what of a break out year though. Nearly doubled his PPG from last year thus far.
  15. Where the heck did Peter Jok come from. That kid can ball. His confidence level in the Michigan game the yesterday was through the roof in the second half. Looked like a seasoned vet out there.
  16. There is a chance this is serious, so I'm going ask: is this true?
  17. I have nothing to back this up. the actions and words of his mother have led me to guess that maybe he's being pressured. Hope he figures it out. At this point, he legitimately needs another year in college.
  18. What team do you want to be then? Because outside of Izzo State (let's be real, Izzo is the reason for their success, not some geographically targeted recruiting strategy) which Midwestern team recruiting your dream corn fed farm boys is contending for their conference title and Final Four every year? Kansas? Oh wait, they recruit around the nation just like Kentucky. Hmmm... Oh! Michigan! Wait, they're hot garbage since their Final Four appearance? Never mind. Even our best example of a local recruiting strategy driving consistent (top 4 conference finishes) success, Wisconsin, is suffering this year after losing their very well developed studs. So who do you want us to be? Don't tell me you want to be the Indiana of the 70's and 80's, because just like Bobby Knight, that fish has fried (at a Purdue Alumni event...).
  19. Not to mention, money won't be hard for our administration to come by should they convince Brad to come. The money will flood the Hall should word get out that we were actively pursuing his hiring.
  20. Lol ok? He was just answering your question.
  21. Kid is probably so wrapped up in his draft stock and the fact that he's not showing up on draft boards. Draft Express has his whole head rented out for free right now. Just a guess. You gotta feel for him. I'm sure there is so much pressure coming from his loved ones to get to the league.
  22. Nah he's been talking about for a while. Even after good performances, including non-conference play. Not everything is a conspiracy
  23. Tough to win with a 20 FT differential as well.
  24. Watching this Wisky game on the Home Cooking Channel. Really glad we didn't end up with Eron Harris.
