I said we'll need more from OG and Morgan. Beifeldt is already putting up great numbers. Colin has consistently delivered the same performs pretty much all year. We need increased production from OG and Morgan to replace Troy's points and rebounds.

IU vs MSU Post-Game Thread

looks like he's playing his worst basketball while at Indiana recently. Really unfortunate. -
I agree with this, but that will mean we need more from OG and Morgan. OG is playing extremely well in his role, but I'm not sure if he's ready for 30 minutes a game. Hope I'm wrong!
-
I get your point, but that's not a simple question. Depends on how he's playing. Today, he hurt the team, and rode the pine because of it.
-
That nice jump shot he hit late in the game against Iowa to solidify our lead in the final couple minutes? That was a beautiful shot. The kid is playing TERRIBLY, but let's not pretend like he's never done anything right. When he's on, he's unstoppable. We haven't seen enough of that lately though. I think he was legitimately better last year.
-
regardless, I'd like to see OG replace Troy in the starting lineup.
-
He nearly had a double double against the #4 team in the country. He's playing like crap, but come on! You gotta give credit where credit is due.
-
Pitino. Much worse than Crean.
-
I agree with this. I also think this is what happened today haha. He started, played like crap, and was one of the first guys subbed out. Troy put up 13 points and 7 rebounds against Iowa, so last time he played.
-
We're also an entirely different team when he's playing his strengths as a baseline cutter and rebounder. He's an incredibly valuable asset. But, clearly he's not playing well and has been on the bench pretty much the entire game because of it, which I fully agree with.
-
Troy has been on the bench all day. You can't just stop playing the guy entirely. March Madness hasn't even started. Let's see what this team does.
-
Guys, Niego has really surprised us, but the kid is an undersized, unathletic, freshman. You can't leave him in a game against the #4 in the country for too long. He did his job! Got a stop, riled up the team and crowd, and hit a beautiful shot. Don't get greedy by leaving him out there for too long. Let him build that confidence. When Crean does that with Troy or Yogi or RoJo, experienced starters, that makes no sense to me.
-
Can't complain about them this year. Seeing him bench players (Troy) after turnovers. And, we're first in the B1G. Doing something right.
-
Anyone who wants to fire a coach after winning a NC is as irrational as anyone who would want to extend Crean after this season. I can't understand either side. What I do know, is that Crean is coaching his best ball I've ever seen from him. Maybe the Kentucky games in 2011-2012 were his best single game performances, but this season has been his best coaching, IMO. There's just nothing to do except to enjoy the fact that INDIANA IS FIRST IN THE B1G. Crean and Co. are fighting to give the fans what they want, starting with a B1G Title. Enjoy the ride, gang.

If any of the 64 teams can win, then it'd actually be more impressive to win a NC than if it were just a handful of teams that had a real shot.

Gritty, gritty defense from the boys in the final 2 minutes. So great to see this team value defense. -

It's happened to every team, every year since our undefeated Hoosiers in '76. Everyone is going to lose a game they shouldn't. This is the most consistent Indiana team we've seen under Crean in two years, and could prove to be more consistent that the 2012-2013 if they close out the season strong. Legitimately nothing to be frustrated with right now. Great win by the team. So well rounded. We won with Yogi playing his worst game of the season, Troy only playing about 12 'Good Troy' minutes, and TB in foul trouble. Incredible. -
Wilson agrees to 6-year contract

Replaced him with Tom Allen (an Indiana native) from USF. Surface level, seems like a solid upgrade. http://www.crimsonquarry.com/2016/1/18/10783092/we-asked-a-usf-writer-what-we-should-know-about-new-dc-tom-allen -

Napping was not on my schedule. Way too many amazing things to do, and only four years to do it all haha -

Can't be smoking or drinking if you never really know when you need to be ready for practice. I wonder if this is a newer system of Crean's in response to the off the court issues over the past couple years. -

Albers writing that Crean typically follows a system of tapering off practices as the season progresses... Odd. http://www.scout.com/college/indiana/story/1641349-iu-shakes-loss-grueling-practice -
Really don't think there is much to be said either for or against Crean until the buzzer on Sunday in East Lansing, at the earliest. Regardless of the schedule we've played, we're currently in a position to take the B1G title for the second time in Crean's eight years here, and for the second time in the last four. If the team pulls off another B1G title this year, Crean becomes a coach who has pulled this program together. He would be looked at as a coach who can bring consistent success to Indiana. If they fail, the team would presumably fall to somewhere around fourth to sixth place, and I think more administration would view Crean as a coach who has peaked and cannot take us to that next level. Very, very interesting couple of weeks ahead. Regardless of whether you THINK Crean can be a winner, he's in a great position to prove what he can do. I hope he succeeds, because I want this team to succeed. If he does succeed, winning the B1G title, it becomes really hard to argue against his ability to make Indiana a contender. First round exits in the B1G Tournament and NCAA Tournament would certainly raise serious doubt though, regardless of a second B1G title.
