Is Thomas Bryant a one and done?
Walking Boot of Doom replied to jdailey1981's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I think as long as he's not projected as a lottery pick pre-draft, he'd come back. Too much money left on the table to leave early and not be a lottery pick for a kid with his potential. -
(2017) ATH Lynn Bowden to Kentucky
Walking Boot of Doom replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Football Recruiting Forum
Wow! Great to have some really strong early commits for 2017. May be hard to keep a guy like this, but it should help CKW recruit when he's able to say, "look at your future teammates." -
His use of timeouts seems to be COMPLETELY newfound this year. I've seen a few good ones sporadically, but there have been so many times where you wonder why he doesn't call one.

Nah, I disagree with you. Read some of my posts in here. I'm very much willing to agree with a lot of the complaints, but I find that some people want this to be a "safe zone" for unchallenged opinions. Also, if you look at the game threads, you'll see a healthy mix of compliments and criticisms, and most seem to agree with both sides of the argument. Finally, a lot of winning is happening, so this thread would be pretty boring if there weren't some challenging posts made :)

You don't want to be challenged on your opinion? Fine. The final minutes were scary, but Purdue is a damn good team, and a bad matchup for us. Maybe try focusing on what OUR team did well? Like only 4 turnovers? And Crean setting up doubles on the post player on defense? Have you ever seen him do that? Add more to the conversation than, "Can't believe Crean almost blew it!"
-
We still have 5 years left on Crean's current contract. Glass would actually have needed to lose his mind to give another extension haha. I think that the two year after the B1G Title was arguably the lowest point of Crean's career at Indiana. Between the poor performance, terrible defense, turnovers, off the court issues, lack of team chemistry, and recruiting misses, he was lucky to keep his head. Two B1G Titles in four years would put Crean into the elite B1G coach discussion though, which would be incredible.

I have a very hard time understanding the kind of person who would celebrate the firing of a good man with a family in the same manner you would celebrate a major victory. There's never a reason to celebrate a good person losing their job. If Crean were to be fired, I'd hope he received the standing ovation he deserved for a job well done, even if it was an incomplete one. At this rate though, I doubt there will be any firing celebrations for you to partake in. You might have to settle for celebrating a B1G Title.

Most Hated Boilermakers of All-Time
Walking Boot of Doom replied to hper50's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Jail Byrd was great. Remember his first game in Assembly Hall after the arrest, our Jail Byrd chants every single time he touched the ball got into his head so bad. Had an awful game. Hilarious. -
I think TB is about to have an awful game. Hammons is finally living up to his full potential, and I think he's going to own the post. Really need Troy and Yogi to show up big here if we want to force Hammons and Haas to move out of the post a bit. Purdue's guards don't stand a chance against our perimeter.

Previously an Indiana target, and maybe Groce's proverbial straw: @IlliniHQ: JUST IN: #Illini Leron Black arrested for allegedly pulling knife on bouncer, per @schenk. bit.ly/1Q5yxIj

Very cool man, that last one is beautiful.

Nice, I have the same setup. Did you do some editing? The colors are really nice in your shots.
-
I'm fairly confident he would be unable to fulfill his duties as head coach from prison.
-
At this point, it's hard to foresee a situation, barring massive off the court issues, in which Crean is not back next year.

IU vs Nebraska Post Game Thread
Walking Boot of Doom replied to JaybobHoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
So are we going to ignore how absurd Troy was in the second half last night? Dude gets ripped for only hurting the team, and then essentially wills the team to a commanding victory in the second half. About half way into the second, Indiana was +16 with Troy on the floor. He had four turnovers in the game, but only one in the second half. I know, not a great opponent, but we did not play them well in the first half, and Troy was a catalyst for our victory in the second. We saw him sit out on the wing and slash a ton last night. Really hoping we see that continue... -
4th Quarter of the Season

Beat Iowa and Maryland, and Iowa loses one game, and the B1G Title is Indiana's. Predicting the upset of Iowa at Michigan. -

Oakland has one of the best PGs in the country as well, so should be a solid test -

Analysis: I choose not to pile on Troy Williams
Walking Boot of Doom replied to IndyHutch's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
The kid has shown a ton of skill and potential, but I don't think he's ready to produce the 15 and 8 a game that Good Troy can. Today we saw him struggle a bit when he started trying to do too much. -

Haha thanks for this article, Hutch. Been defending this stance on other threads...
