  1. B1G Conference to announce awards tonight at 6 PM
  2. UofL sells glass bottles? Idiots!
  3. Yogi secured both of our B1G outright titles.   He slightly altered Jordan Morgan's put-back attempt that teetered on the rim (that's Yogi who flies in at the bottom right corner of the screen https://youtu.be/1RHJFRfojiA?t=1m15s), and nailed that three against Iowa to put the game out of reach. CLUTCH
  4. Stone's mid-range jumper off the block was money. Hit three or so right over Bryant.
  5. Holy cow, did not realize that Nick Z played 33 minutes against Maryland. He and Troy had the second and third most minutes, respectively. Considering they're two of our less capable defenders, I'm even more impressed by our defensive performance.
  6. CBS named Tom Crean as the B1G Coach of the Year, and Yogi Ferrell to their First Team All-B1G.   No other Hoosiers were recognized as award recipients.   http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/eye-on-college-basketball/25501400/michigan-states-denzel-valentine-leads-cbs-sports-big-ten-awards
  7. Projected as the 20th pick to Charlotte on DraftExpress. I'd imagine that'd be enough for him to bounce.
  8. Man, real stagnant from last year.   I thought his turnovers were down from last year, but I was wrong about that. I looked into his TO numbers more though:   - 2.9 TO per game during non-conference play - 2.3 TO per game during conference play - 1.8 TO per game versus the top half of the B1G (MSU, Wisconsin, Purdue, Maryland, OSU, and Iowa)   Hope he comes back next year, he has a lot of room to improve.
  9. Thanks, deflections are actually an extremely valuable stat here on this site.
  10. To your point #2, Troy even looks a little better defensively. Much more effort for him. He still loses his man anytime they run a screen against Troy, but the effort is much improved.
  11. Thanks for enabling my laziness with a response. Huh, don't know why I thought they were higher. I think they were the second best defense in the B1G or something...
  12. My friend, your name says you've been bitter for 29 years, which I was referencing. Present factual arguments to my posts you disagree with, and I will gladly discuss with you. Until then, keep hatin' player.   For the record, my username prior to #1 Crean Apologist (which was a joke) was jurkinonthecourt. I'm not sure what kind of a bias that one insinuates, but I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with my opinion of CTC.
  13. Do you recall what they were ranked defensively prior to the game? They're 20 now which seems at least ten spots lower than I though I remembered...
  14. ... No, but you can hope for more favorable match ups. If we only play the very best teams in the country this month, you'll remain bitter for at least another year.
  15. This hire should help them win enough games to get to the post-season in the next few years, but then they'll need to replace Lovie if they actually want to win those bowl games.
  16. MSU is the last team in the country (maybe other than Kansas and Virginia) I want to play right now. They match up very well against us, have an all-time great head coach, a NPOY senior guard, depth, and they are running hot right now. They have the best offense in the country (#1 KenPom) and a top 30 defense (#27 KenPom). I think any other team in the B1G is a win for us with the way we're playing right now.
  17. In an attempt to bring some light, other than that which constantly reflects off Groce's shiny dome, to an otherwise dark and gloomy athletic department, the University of Illinois has hired Lovie Smith as Head Coach.   http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/college/ct-lovie-smith-illinois-football-20160307-story.html
  18. From Jon Rothstein: Indiana is 9-1 in Big Ten games when Troy Williams scores in double-figures. The X-Factor for the Hoosiers. Inspector Gadget. #iubb
  19. no yogi mentioned a fight between OG and himself
  20. Ah, fun to twist words to fit missions. I said better, not best. I attacked them when they were ranked as a top 5 team in the country early in the year. They looked awful. They still are disjointed. Arguably one of the best teams in the country on paper, but they just haven't hit their potential. Regardless, they have one of the best defenses in the country (#20 after tonight, not sure what it was coming into the game) and the #33 ranked offense (also after tonight, I think it was higher before), and we stomped them. What was your point? Inviting conversation, or just trying to play gotcha? *KenPom rankings
  21. Does everyone realize that we played somewhere around the final 25-30 minutes up by no less than 9 points against one of the best defensive teams in the country? I know we were at home, but that is incredible. We went 18 minutes at one point without a turnover, and finished with only 9. We held Maryland to 62 points. This was a complete and total domination of one of the better teams in the country.
  22. Big shout out to Troy for sealing the win on Senior Day. Dude put out for his team, especially to kick off the second half.
  23. That sprint and dive on the roll-out in bound was epic. Great material for all the media to make comparisons to his career at IU
