Bc he wasn’t able to win at a much smaller program with absolutely zero pressure. Archie had an exponentially better resume than fife. You think he can out recruit and out coach the guys in this league? I don’t.

I’d take Woodson over Fife any day of the week. Fife is terrible.

Strong gut feeling that this is who our guy is. He can coach. If he’s healthy, we are a top 10 team in no time.

Beard is my number 2 but I have a strong feeling that Thad Matta is going to end up being our next coach. He seriously considered the Georgia job and that tells me that he’s wanting to get back into coaching but being very picky with his choice. IU calls, he takes it IMO. I’d be happy with Matta.

If Drew wants the job, give it to him. I’m a little concerned that our options aren’t what we originally thought they’d be. I personally like Beard the most. I think he absolutely murders it at Indiana.

Always will be a players league. I’m shocked Stevens isn’t seeing this. He is the longest tenured coach in Boston Celtics history without winning a championship and he is not going to have a top 3 team in the east for at minimum another 4 years. Tatum and Brown are not superstars. Superstars dominate winning in the league. So frustrating bc coming to IU is such a no brainer for both sides. Obviously his family doesn’t feel the same.

I should have clarified. I was just asking who we think wants this gig. I wasn’t being negative and presuming that no good coach wants the job. Sure....Brad ripped my ******* heart out. I told chris earlier that I promised myself that I would be happy/satisfied if we swung for the fences. It appears we did so. I have faith in Dolson. He knows what we need and I’m confident that he’s the perfect pitchman for the job.

Who is going to want this job?

My biggest concern with this falling apart is I’m truly worried that our roster has massive turnover.

If these talks really got this far along and have been going on as long as many have said. Imagine how drained Dolson is right now. Hope he has the resolve to pick himself up off the mat and comes out swinging harder. I’ve had very big letdowns before and it takes some serious mental toughness to pull through. Let’s hope some good coaches want this challenge.

What really sucks to me is that I wish Steven’s would say that he seriously considered the job and it was incredibly difficult for him to turn it down. That would help Indiana and the Indiana fans out quite a bit. Now we are going to get absolutely wrecked and ridiculed for believing that Stevens would consider us. Pisses me off. Also....the Boston fans are every bit as vitriolic as Indiana fans. They want him gone. His roster is not good. Wait until they find out he got a 2.5m raise.

Archie got fired and my wife said “aren’t you glad we didn’t name our son Archie?” I really wanted her to make him Archie. There’s a reason she makes the buying decisions around these parts.
