He clearly doesn’t understand marketing and advertising. Customer acquisition baby! Giveaway value to your target audience! You’ll acquire a large following and become an authority. Monetize down the road. See Chris and Pap..... if they wanted to, they could put their info behind a paywall and many would pay. That wouldn’t be as effective if they hadn’t given as much value for free.

Honestly, I think the exact opposite ends up happening. Personally, I will feel relieved that I don’t have to worry about how highly ranked our recruiting classes are. He can win with guys that we’ve historically overlooked. If he’s able to get the guys that even the last few coaches were able to get, it’s a higher level of talent than he was afforded at Butler (outside of Hayward). Imagine Brad Stevens has the keys to the 2012-2013 team.. I believe many will have patience with him bc WE KNOW he’s going to bring a smart brand of basketball. WE KNOW our teams will play great defense. WE KNOW our offense will have continuity. WE KNOW he’s going to be great after timeouts. I don’t expect to see immediate final fours and nattys. I expect to see a program that does things the right things and gives consistent effort at all times. They do this and I KNOW the results will eventually come.

Purdue losing Micah to another team in the B1G AND having Stevens take over at IU has to be making their stomachs turn.

The level of hype that’s about to surround this program is going to be on an unprecedented level....in my lifetime anyways. Stevens unites us all........ I just want to say this....... Tom Allen and Brad Stevens at IU at the same time.
