  1. I dont think the question is who. Its "How am I going to get him here." The list of guys is maybe 2-3 names long. all of them are long shots. Everyone else is throwing mud at the wall and seeing what sticks. I have a good gut feeling about Dolson. I think he gets it right.
  2. It would be better than continuing to use these awful search firms. I wonder what the university has paid these firms since Knight's departure.
  3. I’ve been mostly checked out for the entire season but this game just confirms what I’ve been considering the whole time. I’m done supporting, or giving any energy to this joke of a program. I’m out. They’ve beaten me into submission.
  4. Rob and Al are simply not good enough to get starter minutes in the B1G. Absolute liabilities. We’ll never move the needle with guards like this.
  5. Of course he’s in favor. He wants access again. Painter and Izzo are outliers. Looking at past players would be a huge mistake imo.
  6. I agree completely. Couldn’t have said it better myself. Going out and trying to find the right guy gives us a shot. Hiring an “IU guy” like Alford is waving the white flag. Identifying the next coach, that can move the needle, will get increasingly more difficult. It never had to be this hard in the first place. In the time between when knight was fired, until now, the head coaching position at Indiana became incredibly unattractive to talented coaches. Sad.
  7. Osu outclassing us in every category. Doesn’t look good for the Hoosiers.
  8. Please dear god get Rob out of this game. Shooting air balls, given up 3 offensive boards. Not going to help this team win this game. Wish Archie would see this and stop trying to fit a square peg through a round hole.
  9. Hate to be down on a kid but what does Rob give this team?
  10. Best live performance I’ve ever seen.
  11. Sure. I should have said 99% of everyone on this site.
  12. Firing Archie isn’t going to happen anytime soon and I’m not sure it would help anyways. Our issues are systemic and much more complex than the head coach. I can only speculate as to what these issues are but I am certain that it’s more than what meets the eye. I’m not sure many understand the level of effort required, to systematically run a historically elite program into the ground, over multiple decades. It’s not bad luck. It’s not that this couldn’t be fixed. I sometimes wonder if the administration is actively monitoring the pulse of its customer base. During the last couple of years of the Tom Crean era, there was significant pressure building but not to the point where it was going to mortally affect the program’s revenue & profitability. They are in serious danger of doing so now. The apathy is off the charts. I’m comfortable saying that I’ve never seen it quite like this in my lifetime. Personally I’ve never been so disinterested in Indiana Basketball since I’ve been aware of the existence of basketball and Indiana Hoosier basketball. I get the sense that most of our fan base shares this feeling. If basketball revenues and profits are something that the university relies upon, then the university is in big trouble in the near future. From a business perspective, this is a company that needs to be gutted from top to bottom and and a complete rebranding strategy needs developed and executed immediately. Our current brand is incapable of making us competitive in the current marketplace. We simply cannot attract the talent (players or coaches) required to win at the level we expect. Hanging on to the past and expecting past results is insanity and an awful strategy.
  13. No it wouldn’t. I think you’re letting your distaste for the guy distort reality. We both know that this season is anomalous, in regards to John Calipari. As much as I can’t stand the guy, he’s an all timer. If Indiana were to somehow be lucky enough to land him, we would be nationally relevant within a single season and everyone on this site would be kissing the ground that he walks on (myself included).
  14. “Indiana was the toughest team we played all year.” -Ryan Day (throwing a return jab at Dabo) hopefully
  15. I will probably get killed for this but here goes.... Al Durham has no business getting the amount of minutes he does. He’s a great kid but simply not good enough to help us compete at a top level in the B1G. Every year he plays well against the mid/low majors, then looks outclassed once B1G starts. He has his occasional solid game but it’s glaringly obvious that he shouldn’t be getting the minutes he does. Same with Phinisee, as well. He’s regressed every season. Lander is young and has a lot to learn but when I see him on the floor I see a very high ceiling. The fact Archie is letting him wither away on the bench infuriates me. I’m willing to live with his mistakes much more than the constant boneheaded mistakes from upper classmen. At least he will be brought up to speed much quicker. Al and Rob just barely keep us treading water and prolong us from getting to where we need to be. Archie is getting his @$$ handed to him in Bloomington. It’s hard to watch. Nearly everyone pegged this guy as one of the next big time head coaches. He’s not awful, he’s certainly not great. He’s just meh.
  16. LEO doesn’t apply to the B1G brass or CFP Committee. The AD needs to speak up.
  17. Northwestern is going to beat us if we play even remotely close to how we did on Saturday. Hopefully the men are ready for a fight. NW is dominating Sparty right now.
  18. That’s the thing. We did everything we could have to earn the respect. Winning this game won’t earn us anymore, with those on the committee, imho. Historical results have no business being weighted into the current seasons merits. It’s fraudulent to do so. I’m really happy Fred Glass said what he said, publicly. I hope Dolson follows suit. Coach Allen needs to see that his boss is going to fight for him and not tuck his tail.
  19. What in the hell are they doing at the monitor. What’s to see?
  20. Late to the party. I was wrong about this game. I thought we’d struggle with their length. Giving it a heck of an effort on the road against a quality team.
  21. Not feeling very optimistic about this one. FSU has the length and athleticism in the front court to neutralize our best players (Trayce and Race). I’m not confident in our guards. Our guards are average, at best. FSU: 78 IU: 62
  22. I don’t think this is an indictment of Indiana HS basketball, as it’s an indictment of the Indiana University MBB staff.
  23. When did Trayce become so soft?
